Autobase Nu - Command Center

Prowl, out.<< The Autobot military analyst returned to the task of sifting through the vast amounts of information that had come in--and was continuing to come in--from the now deceptively inactive front. Prowl had no illusions about the lack of obvious Decepticon activity in that area. They were digging in, fortifying their position, doing everything they could to ensure that the next assault would be even more costly.

Their successes against the border defenses of Polyhex had bought them a rare opportunity. But there was still time to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Omega Supreme's presence would only keep the 'Cons cowed for so long--it was probable that they were already working on a means to circumvent the imposing Guardian.

Prowl shoved those unhelpful truths aside. Yes, they had won; yes, they had created an opening that more reckless commanders might rush to exploit. But their triumph had come at considerable cost, and now was not the time for precipitous action. Now was a time to refuel, rearm, consolidate their gains, and remember their dead. If that meant shifting back to their defensive mentality, then so be it.

Autobase Nu - Receiving Area

His ancient power plant carrying him and his wounded passenger along with a complaining but steady rumble, Kup could see Autobase Nu on the horizon. Somewhere not far behind him the transport with the other Autobots - wounded and walking alike - also approached the base. Always been my least favorite part. Pickin' up the pieces after the battle.

Once within range, Kup transmitted his Autobot security code and the armored double doors of the Receiving Area slid open to admit him and the others following him. Within the large bay, medical drones already awaited patients, stocks of spare parts and high-grade energon for transfusion at the ready. Rolling to a halt in front of one of the medical drones, he let the automaton lift the wounded Autobot from his cargo bed and take him to a CR chamber. Transforming into robot mode, Kup commed Prowl.

Arms crossed, he looked out of the large entrance to watch the other Autobots arrive and begin putting themselves back together.

Autobase Nu - Receiving Area

"I don't remember feeding you anything, so why are you so much heavier all of a sudden?" Springer quiped as he picked up Skywatch. The transport had finally arrived at the base. Springer turned to the rest of the Autobots on board.

"Alright everyone let's get these 'bots to the med bay asap," the triplechanger called as the door folded out into a ramp. "Nap time's almost over."

Sub-Zero's bright blue optics focused on Springer for a moment. He nodded quietly then proceeded to slide his charge upon his back. He was careful not to slip on the ramp. The Dire-Wolf padded gently into the med bay, his tail swaying lightly behind him. Drones busied themselves here and there. Zero knew nothing of how med bays worked and his visuals scanned for Archangel and Brewer.
After this he supposed he would have to report for new orders unless he could help out here. He eyed the medical equipment. Before the war he had been an explorer, he could have went the path of a medic but the call of the unknown was too strong. He wondered now if it had been a mistake. A little medical knowledge would have been a great help here.

He shifted the bot upon his back, waiting to be told which CR Chamber to put him in or would he go on a table?

Autobase Nu - Receiving Area

Minerva hurtled down the corridors, news of the arriving wounded only just reaching her. Almost tripping herself up, she skidded into the receiving area. The shuttle was just touching down, and Minerva had no doubts that she was about to be over whelmed with damaged and dying bots.
‘Springer, I need you to prioritize the wounded into groups depending on extent of injuries, anyone with a serious head wound or chest wound first, then extremities, after which shrapnel and surface cuts.’
Minerva paused for a moment then added
‘If anyone up there has any medical experience at all get them to follow me to med bay, I don’t care what it is even if it’s just sealing cuts, I’m going to need all the help I can get.’

Autobase Nu ~ Receiving Area

"I guess I fall into that category then.." Archangel commented as he heard Minerva talking to Springer, stepping off the transport as he spoke "..Brewer too is a competent Medic, and Wheelbar there is seemingly willing to help out in whatever way he can.." Archangel continued, pointing out the 2 'Bots mentioned to Minerva "..As for casualties, all those aboard this transport are in a stable condition, but some will require further work before they can be placed in CR, namely Skywatch there who Springer's got a hold of, and the 'Bot Sub-Zero has taken in already"

Archangel paused as he gently placed one of the patients on a hover stretcher before letting the medbay assistant take him away "He's OK, put him straight into CR" The Medic ordered quickly, before looking back to Minerva "So which one of us should get ready for surgery and which of us is going to check on the rest of the arriving patients then?"

Autobase Nu - Receiving Area

"Alright, I'm on it," Springer said, nodding to Minerva. He set Skywatch on the ground, his . "Here's the first patient. He's been hurt bad, and it's lucky I found him out there. Paint scratches, internal damanges, servos busted, circuits fried, stasis lock - you name it, he's pretty much got it. I'll get going on the rest."

"Mind playing medic with me for a bit?" he chuckled to Sub-Zero. "Yeah, I know we both aren't exactly doctors, but could you lend me a hand - uh, paw - with getting these guys in order of injury criticality?"

"Wheelbar," he turned to look back at the younger robot as he knelt down to grab another Autobot. His speech slowed some as he gasped slightly audibly between a few words. "You're a pretty eager 'bot. Help us get these guys in line, too."

He couldn't help but stumble over his words of hesitated protest. Brewer wanted to help out, but he also wanted to make sure Forte was doing well. "I... uh.. But I..." he mentally and sarcastically thanked Archangel for volunteering him. Thanks a lot.... With a deep breath, Brewer explained his own wishes.

"If you don't mind, Minerva, I was hoping that you may know where my friend Forte ended up. What's her status?"

Autobase Nu - Command Center

>>Acknowledged,<< Prowl signalled in response to Kup's most recent communication. Though he would never have admitted as much out loud, it was something of a relief to have the Autobot veteran on-hand to assist with the post-battle cleanup. Not a mechanoid to ignore his own flaws, Prowl recognized that he had a tendency to get so caught up in the larger picture that he neglected the immediate needs of the individual Autobots who had already sacrificed so much for the sake of a free Cybertron. Kup, a far more hands-on sort of officer, had already helped remind him not to push too hard, and he was grateful for it.

With Fortress Maximus in Iacon for repairs, they would both probably have as much work as they could handle over the coming cycles, and then some. But Prowl was confident they'd manage to hold things together--possibly even make a little progress in securing the Autobots' hold on the Polyhex border while they were at it. Perhaps they should consider tapping Springer for his insight into the troops' morale. The Triplechanger's broad independent streak could be problematic from time to time, but Prowl would never have thought to deny that he was a likable mechanoid, an Autobot respected by superiors and subordinates alike.

Besides, as tough as their situation presently was, there was a strong probability that the 'Cons had it even tougher. And that was an oddly comforting thought.

Autobase Nu - Receiving Area

Minerva needed one look at Skywatch to see he was in serious trouble. She turned to address Archangel.
‘I’d rather you stay here and send guys to me in the med bay as you deem appropriate, for a start, you have some knowledge of who’s in what condition which will speed up the selection process, do whatever you can for them here.’
Minerva then turned to the rest of her volunteers to organize them into an effective transport corps.
Wheelbar, Sub-Zero and Springer thanks for volunteering, I’m putting you guys under Archangel’s control. I’d like you to transport bots to me as appropriate and help him deal with the minor injuries here. Brewer, I’d like you to come with me to the med-bay’s now and help me there. Springer, can you carry Skywatch for me?
Hearing Brewer’s request for information on Forte, Minerva sighed, and put an arm on Brewer’s shoulder.
‘I’m sorry, I’ve got no news for you, I haven’t had a chance to look at the battle report yet. I’ll tell you as soon as I know.’
With that Minerva moved back in the direction of the med-bay’s, painstakingly aware that Skywatch’s survival depended on the next few astroseconds.

Autobase Nu - Receiving Area

WheelBar turned to Springer, nodding his head in agreement as he carefully lifted another bot waiting for the CR chamber. "Yes sir, I'd be glad to."

As he carried his comrade to the chamber, he heard Minerva address him and the others and took note of her orders. Archangel was good at his job, as far as WheelBar had seen, so he didn't mind.

Autobase Nu - CR Chambers

Looking around at all the injured seemed to dampen his spirits, so he focused on the task ahead. He had felt so useless before when the battle was over, but he seemed to realize now that everybody contributes to the entire army as a whole, and that you weren't just a medic, scientist, explorer, or (if need be) a warrior. You were an Autobot.
And that's what mattered.

WheelBar figured that that bond had to be one of many things that made him an Autobot himself, and he wanted to be sure never to forget that.

He reached the assigned chamber for the solider and carefully placed him inside and configured the machinery to the correct setting. He turned on the machine and quickly headed back to the recieving area to help whoever was left.

Autobase Nu - Receiving Area

Hearing Minerva's orders to aid her was a bit disappointing, but not as much as hearing that she had no information on Forte. With a silent nod, he acknowledged the female medic's request for his assistance and followed her to the Medical Bay.

Sub-Zero placed his charge in the temporary care of a drone as Springer welcomed him to assist. The Dire-wolf trotted over and stopped a few feet from the larger triplechanger.

“Paw huh? I can remedy that.” He said with a chuckle.

Sub-Zero transformed into his silver and black robot form still smaller than most transformers, yet thanks to mass shifting technologies he was large enough to be of some use.
He stood before his fellow autobot, taking in all the injuries with a mental count.

“Well I do know chest wounds are a bad thing and leaking fluids are a big warning sign. Definitely need to put Skywatch up first, and probably my unnamed bud over there by the drone.”

He smiled a genuine friendly smile as was his nature when Minerva spoke to him. He nodded his acknowledgement. Still speaking to Springer he said,

“I think I like being a triage nurse, maybe I should sign up for one of those emergency care seminars and I could be more useful in the field.”

Sub-Zero turned his head in the direction of the transport.
“I’ll help them get those guys outa there while you move Skywatch for her.”

He couldn’t help but overhear Brewer, he felt a tinge of sympathy for the guy. So many casualties so many worries, of course he should be concerned about his friend. But not being part of the conversation Zero kept his mouth shut and headed over to help Archangel’s transport.

Autobase Nu - Receiving Area

Springer bent down to pick up Skywatch. His face cringed a bit as he stood up straight. He nodded to Sub-Zero before the wolf 'bot turned the other way and winked at Minerva before walking with her.

After a few steps, he felt a sharp pain in his left knee. His face twisted. The triplechanger then bent down with his right knee, holding Skywatch in a position so that, after he finished transforming, the unconscios Autobot seated securely on top of his car mode.

"I," Springer thought fast, knowing Minerva might think something. "I figure I can get there faster by wheels than by foot."

He continued driving slowly by the fembot.

Autobase Nu - Command Center

The doors of the lift that led up to the Command Center slid open and out stepped Kup. He had left Minerva and the others to their work, well aware of his own limitations as a medic. Hand actuators like Scorponok's claws, only clumsier, Ratchet used ta tell me. He laughed inwardly, bitterly. The 'Cons killed enough of us today. Don't want to be responsible for any more dead Autobots.

"Reportin', Prowl," he said as he walked up to the current ranking Autobot in Nova Cronum. "We're all pulled back, and Minerva's running triage down in the Receiving Area. It ain't pretty, but it coulda been a lot worse."

Autobase NU-Receiving Area

WheelBar had just re-entered the Receiving Area, passing Springer and the one called Minerva along the way. It seemed peculiar to WheelBar why Springer was transporting the other bot in vehicle mode, but he shrugged it off. He didn't know many of the bots that well, so he couldn't even start to understand how they behaved.

WheelBar passed by Brewer as well, who seemed down-in-the scrap dumps about something...

He continued stepping forward and approached Archangel. "Do you need any more injured transported to the CR Chambers commander?"

Autobase Nu - Med-Bay

Minerva wasn’t one of the best medics on the Autobot force for nothing. She was aware that Springer was hushing up an injury. Whilst she was grateful that he was still willing and able to help her, he needed reminding he couldn’t fool her that easily.
‘Springer, If you could get there faster in vehicle mode, why are you only moving at my pace. Don’t try to hide an injury from me, I really appreciate all your help, but if you cause further injury to another bot because of your pride or whatever, then I’ll be most displeased. As soon as you drop off Skywatch, get brewer to have a look at your leg.’
Their conversation had brought them to the door of the Med-Bay. Opening the door, Minerva ran inside, and began activating the drones and bringing many systems online. Motioning Springer to move Skywatch to an operating table.

Autobase Nu ~ Recieving Area

Archangel nodded quickly in response to Minerva's orders, before hearing Brewer inquire about Forte. He could understand the S&R specialist's concerns, but he knew from personal experience, that you had to stay focused on your job at hand before worrying yourself over any friends or comrades who may have been injured in battle.

Making a note to have a word with his friend when everything had clamed down, Archangel's attention was brought back by Wheelbar referring to him as Commander, which brought a smile to his face. Looking to the young warrior, as well as Sub-Zero, the Medic replied "This transport is clear, but there's plenty more still to check, both of you follow me..." Archangel stepped down off the ramp and began to head towards another of the shuttles, before stopping and looking back to Wheelbar once more "...Oh and please don't refer to me as commander, far too formal for my liking. Archangel is fine, or even as one of my close associates calls me, Arch"


Elsewhere in the landing area for shuttles, Silverbolt stepped off his shuttle, followed by Slingshot and Fireflight. "I believe Skydive and Air Raid are already down in the medbay, I want you two to help some of the lesser wounded down there and get whatever repairs you need as well, I'm going to check in with Prowl up in the Command Center" For once, Slingshot didn't argue, too tired after the long battle, and Fireflight was more than willing to help out, and as the pair headed off towards the medbay, Silverbolt headed for the nearest elevator, ignoring the fact that he himself needed medical attention.

Autobase Nu - Medbay

Air Raid walked into medbay, he looked very damaged, large plasma pattern burns had darkened all over his damaged hull. Air Raid layed downed on his back on the examination table. "Uhh I have seen better days, fix me up doc?" Air Raid said, laying on the examination table.

The repair droid ran a bright blue beam over Air Raid, scanning from head to to toe. "Warning heavy damage to structual integrity." The droid repeated before the lighting in the room turned to a dim blue color. "Repair, Repair, Repair." The droid repeated as it took a welding device in one hand and a laser beam in the other. Air Raid looked up with a grimace. "I didn't think it was that bad..." Air Raid said. "80% outer hull damage, repairs needed." The droid said. The blue beam ran up and down over Air Raid while the droid started piecing Air Raid back together.

"Left arm show's 100% failure, replace, replace, replace." The droid said as it hovered over to the supply room. "Hey! That's my arm!" Air Raid exclaimed. "Defective, Defective, Defective. " The droid responded to Air Raid. The hovering droid returned, carrying Air Raid's new arm with him. " Please calm down Air Raid. Repair, Repair." The droid said. Air Raid laid back down on the examination table and tried to relax. Small sizzles and sparks came from Air Raid's arm as the new arm was being installed.

"100% repairs complete. How do you feel?" The droid asks. Air Raid sat up and started to twist and move his arm. "I feel fully functional, hey the new arm works great." Air Raid said to the droid. "Repairs complete, subject was returned to 100% capacity." The droid said. Air Raid stood up in the medbay.

Autobase Nu - Medbay

After hearing Minerva, Springer transformed and laid down Skywatch on the indicated table. He now had a slight limp as he walked back to the fembot, trying not to twist his face.

"Tada! All fine, see," Springer smiled. He paused for a moment, backing away as the drones began working on Skywatch. "Don't be such a downer, Minerva. Now, I'll be right back with some more 'bots."

Springer began walking slowly to the exit.

Autobase Nu - Medbay

Springer was so infuriating! Minerva was about to stun him and get a drone to fix his leg then and there when Air Raid entered the med-bay. By the looks of him and the analysis of the drone it was amazing he was still functioning.
‘Brewer, stop that drone before it tears Air Raid apart.’
Minerva turned back to Skywatch. Initial examination revealed his most serious problem was that his main power cord was severed in two. Hooking the poor bot up to a life support. Minerva began to cut around the severed connection, removing the layers of twisted plating and ruined circuits. Finally able to get a good look at the wound she began, painstakingly slowly, to remove the shrapnel around the cord. Then slowly still she began to reconnect the damaged wires and connections. Working on such a small scale was dangerous, the slightest wrong movement could cause serious harm, but her hand held firm. The connection sealed, the worst was over, whilst she hadn’t yet fully repaired him, he was safe now,Skywatch would live.

Autobase Nu - Medbay

After he turned and gave one last wave, Springer walked out the door, heading back to the receiving area. Once the entryway had shut behind him, he paused for a minute and leaned against the wall. He finally let out a slight moaning noise as he bent over slightly to touch his left arm to his injured knee. Suddenly, he felt a sting in his right scapulagears in his shoulder. The triplechanger breathed heavily after nearly losing his balance.

Didn't notice that one, he panted in his head.

Shaking his head and gritting his mouth, he began walking again. That is, until he couldn't handle the pain anymore after a few hundred feet. Feeling lucky nobody had been around him, he transformed and began driving slowly to the receiving area.

Autobase Nu - Medbay

Air Raid turned around at the mention of his name having been fully repaired finally, he walked over towards Minerva. "Hey Minerva. Wow, Skywatch has seen better days." Air Raid said. "Are you able to fix him?" Air Raid asked glancing to Minerva. Air Raid thought he heard a sound of pain coming from the hall, glancing towards the door that Springer walked through.

"Thank Seibertron I am back in one piece that was pretty close. Air Raid looked down at the crippled Skywatch. "Need any help?" Air Raid asked Minerva.

I'm going to assume that Air Raid is repaired. Minerva ordered Brewer to stop a drone from getting after him, but in the post above me, it says that he's fully healed. I'll take it as that. Hmmm.. Oh! And I'll be gone til the afternoon of the 29th (sunday). Please keep Brewer (and Forte, if she ever gets activation again. lol) in check with the RP. Thanks a bunch! Love y'all.

Medical Bay

He had fallen into a daze, unable to focus on what he should and could be worrying about while still being about to fix it. Minerva's orders to stop a drove from 'tearing Air Raid apart' weren't fulfilled, and Brewer was unable to follow through. Instead, he shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts and create anew. Now in medical mode, he looked over Skywatch's battered form and asked the femme, "I'm sorry. Do you have any other orders. I'm cleared up now, and ready to help out."
