I don't think inappropriate is the word I was going for. Maybe more along the lines of making sense? (At least from a Has/Tak perspective.) Outside of a few characters (and entirely different universes) Hasbro has very rarely produced the same character in different iterations. (Bumblebee and Optimus are the glaring exceptions.) The argument that Hasbro's focus is selling toys to kids has been hashed out so many times. But that's what has to be considered in thinking that they would put out another version of any character. Would another version of Jetfire sell? Would it sell as an Ultra or Leader class? To a few collectors, perhaps. But not so much to kids. (I think I've only seen BB, Prime, and Predaking in a size larger than Voyager recently. Oh, and Metroplex.) Those Ultra figures from the Generations line based off of Silverbolt and Powerglide shelf warmed for a very, very long time. (I picked mine up off of clearance.)
I actually count my lucky stars that we are seeing some of the characters we are, like Generations Skids. Between obtaining the trademarked names and producing something parents will buy for their kids, Hasbro has a lot influencing what and where they spend their resources.
So, like I said, Masterpiece and these third parties are likely the only places we'll see any other versions of G1 Jetfire or cartoon Skyfire. (Well, I suppose we might see a convention exclusive. Oh, wait!) Perhaps the new cartoon will have Jetfire in it and we can get another iteration that way. But, Classics? I doubt it. It's not inappropriate to wish for it. It's not inappropriate to ask for it. I do think it is highly unlikely to ever happen, though.
I could be wrong. I'm basing my opinion on Has/Tak's past history and obvious motivations. If I'm wrong, I'll take it all back. But the only times they have released another iteration of a character (that wasn't Prime, Megs, or BB) were new molds of characters that had been repaints in the past (like Scourge and Springer).
In the mean time, I will like what I see here and drool over the pics. But I don't think I will be buying at these prices and sizes.

(I answer to Ag or Ags. Agamemnon is too long to type. Plus, there is something elemental about calling me Ag.
