Isn't it more of a Cajun thing instead of pure french? I don't know maybe im making things up, but I thought the loup garou thing was more native to Louisiana than France.

No, it's originally a French Legend that came with the French when they colonized Louisiana. I believe it is also spelled differently here in the states. From what I understand Loup Garou 's are more powerful/dangerous than a normal werewolf, being able to shift at will(no need for the moon) and keeping their wits about them when they shift.

Skinwalkers are shapeshifters, though their base form is said to be hairier than an average person. So while I have no idea if they are related legends, I could see why that could be. Oh and the yee naaldlooshii brand of skinwalker is a Navajo Legend, and scary as hell.

First question right. I know the answer to the second one was a joke (and a funny one at that  :APPLAUSE: ). Can anyone give a correct answer (clue: think neighboring countries)? By the way, my DNA (or more appropriately my blood) is quarter of this ethnicity and supposedly my family was from Transylvania.

Congrats njb902 you got the question right. The answer to the second part of the question is Romanians and Hungarians. I am about a quarter Hungarian (supposedly from Transylania, but my dad does have a thing for vampires, nevertheless I am a quarter Hungarian for sure, just do not know the hometown of ancestry)

The answers to yesterday's question are,
Alvin Schwartz wrote them and they were illustrated by Stephen Gammell.

"Don't you ever laugh as the hearse goes
by,
For you may be the next one to die.
They wrap you up in a big white sheet
From your head down to your feet.
They put you in a big black box
And cover you up with dirt and rocks.
All goes well for about a week,
Then your coffin begins to leak.
The worms crawl in, the worms crawl out,
The worms play pinochle in your snout,
They eat your eyes, they eat your nose,
They eat the jelly between your toes.
A big green worm with rolling eyes
Crawls in your stomach and out your
eyes.
Your stomach turns a slimy green,
And pus pours out like whipping cream.
You'll spread it on a slice of bread,
And this is what you eat when you are
dead."

I was at the grocery store today and I was looking at tater tots and I wondered who come up with these and when, so I looked it up. As it turns out F. Nephi Grigg and Golden Grigg, the founders of Ori-Ida, came up with them in 1953. They were looking for a way to use the little slivers of cut up potatoes.

The answer to yesterday's question was A. The Smurfs.
