So, this toy is apparently "uncomplicated" when the G1 toy is less complicated than it, and you say the G1 toy is worlds better and I'm the one with the small brain?
Whatever you say guy. It's your dream.
It's a lousy figure with a poor design. It was engineered without Takara's help, just like the Star Wars and Marvel Crossovers Transformers toys. It's simply not that well made a figure, and this has nothing to do with simplicity or kid-friendliness, since the whole Energon line itself was simple and kid-friendly but still mostly good overall.Manterax Prime wrote:Bouncy X wrote:thats neat, too bad the G1 version looks like complete and utter crap. why not include the actual G1 toy or at least the Cybertron game version?
What's wrong with G1/Energon one? I'd rather have that one over the original G1 toy.

I understand that it's probably the best choice they had to work with in regards to homaging G1 Grimlock, but this is one of those cases where the G1 homage isn't the subject here. For it is the quality of the figure itself, not its G1 accuracy, that's being ridiculed.Manterax Prime wrote:Sabrblade wrote:It's a lousy figure with a poor design. So you would deny the fact that's it's the closest to G1 Grimlock w/o being a Masterpiece figure?

The G1 Dinobots, Shockwave, Wheeljack, and Sunstreaker molds have all been unavailable for years, having never been rereleased and believed to be either lost or destroyed.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Were the G1 molds not available?

I guess they wanted one that homaged G1 Grimlock better since Classics Grimlock deviates quite a bit from the iconic Grimlock transformation and look.SG Roadbuster wrote:I own Energon Grimlock. he's kinda terrible. why not use the Classics deluxe?

Dammit, I've been had. I really need to fool-proof my disclaimers before posting.
