Yes, Slag is confirmed to have die-cast. Djanni (sp?), FanToys employee, referenced die-cast at TFW in Swoop as well (not sure how much or where it will be).
$200 may seem steep but it's on par for MP's of this size. MP22 is $280. If the quality is good, the articulation is excellent, and the aesthetics remain the same throughout the line - I will be going with FT Dinos.
Regarding the color version - I am leaning towards the red Swoop. I have been reading the comics and red seems to stick in my mind more. I just wish they would more gold like the blue version.
