I love the way Fansproject used the sword to pay homage to the infamous butt plug on the G1 toy. With advances in technology, they could have easily intergrated the tail into his transformation. But instead, they decided to give us some G1 love. Kudos to Fansproject ! I hope they name him "Function X-02 Plug"

im excited by these cuz they look cool and cuz chromedome is a very cool figure in hand so i can safely assume these will be of similar quality.
but i am also very, very, very, very much hoping this head master line is leading up to a fortmax. i mean really very, very hopeful. Fansproject seems to be going full-tilt into this headmaster thing so why not!!??

yeah wasnt headrobots coming out with a black zarak upgrade kit for the cybertron repaint of energon scorponok at some point? What happened with that? That was shaping up to be BA with a base mode and everything!

FP are closer to the affordable end of the 3rd Party spectrum, but still I think my wallet would run and hide and cry if FP did Scorpy and Max. Unless they made them at Voyager/Ultra size maybe.
Anyway, I'm pretty much down for all the FP Headmasters (at least from the original series, not sure on the Jrs.) and still have a tiny little hope they might find room to put Arcee in this lot. Kinda be nice if they did the Horrorcons and Targetmasters as well.

well there's no question it would be expensive but, when you think about it, considering the price that large 3rd party figs are going for i.e. genesis, complete combiners, and even mmc cyclops, and then compare that to what a reissue of fortmax costs I'll bet you could have an equally scaled 3rd party fort max for a not too outrageous price.
what i mean is people seem to want to pay what a fortmax costs and i think we could have a comparably sized 3rd party fortmax for an equally comparable price.
i said in another post about the new 3rd party not overlord that when you do the math large 3rd party figs, though few in example, seem to go for about $20 per inch. So even if a fortmax was only 18" we're talking around $400. For a fully articulated, dare i say, even l.e.d. lit (ala genesis) fortmax, hell YES id be in on that!!!!!
and that's the worst case scenario. These fp headmasters aren't too expensive even as compared to other similarly sized 3rd party figs such as grindrod, or hell, even Perfect effect's little tiny guys are like the same price!

I've always said that it's not the amount of plastic used to make a figure, but rather the number of parts needed for the figure that justifies the cost.
