well there's no question it would be expensive but, when you think about it, considering the price that large 3rd party figs are going for i.e. genesis, complete combiners, and even mmc cyclops, and then compare that to what a reissue of fortmax costs I'll bet you could have an equally scaled 3rd party fort max for a not too outrageous price.

what i mean is people seem to want to pay what a fortmax costs and i think we could have a comparably sized 3rd party fortmax for an equally comparable price.

i said in another post about the new 3rd party not overlord that when you do the math large 3rd party figs, though few in example, seem to go for about $20 per inch. So even if a fortmax was only 18" we're talking around $400. For a fully articulated, dare i say, even l.e.d. lit (ala genesis) fortmax, hell YES id be in on that!!!!!

and that's the worst case scenario. These fp headmasters aren't too expensive even as compared to other similarly sized 3rd party figs such as grindrod, or hell, even Perfect effect's little tiny guys are like the same price!

just sayin for shits and giggles, what if.... http://www.fortressmaximus.com/catalog/Fortress+Maximus

I've always said that it's not the amount of plastic used to make a figure, but rather the number of parts needed for the figure that justifies the cost.

Etching molds be expensive yo.

This figure is awesome! I think it's my favourite of the three shown so far.

give me a $400 G1-sized, but fully articulated Fort Max, and I'll be all over it. Chromedome is good fun, UUUU looks great and Smart Robin (can't we just call him Tim?) has me excited too.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Prowl, Astrotrain, Ramjet, Skywarp, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Blurr, Perceptor, GDO Wheelie and Springer, or 3rd Party Motobot Arcee, FP Springer, iGear Ratchet and Ironhide, City Commander (and/or Ultra Magnus), Starscream (deluxe) Coronation add-on, or Spike and Daniel in their Exo-Suits.

Chupacabra would have been a better name.

The Mexican dog-like demon/monster thing...

Nah, Quadruple U is a great "homage" to the original character, just like the toy ;)
