I am definitely going to get these guys even if Motormaster is average, scale isn't great, paint apps are bland, price tag is higher than most and hes a parts former the Stunticons and if there's a Blitzwing will be my final purchases of any Transformers I make. I cant keep up anymore with everything that's being released in the last few years I have missed out on so much stuff that I just haven't had the chance to get it and when I have they been sold out. Don't get me wrong I love transformers to bits and I always will but i have to say goodbye to them. So i think i will only be keeping an eye on this thread and these guys so i don't get tempted by anything else.

 I'm not saying it's bad (I have the set myself and I'm quite happy with it), it's just not very 'Superion-y' to me. It's a cool kit, as is their Bruticus set (which is their best add-on to date IMO), it just doesn't fill that gap (for me at least) of a classics style Superion.

Anyway, back on topic. I do hope we get some pics of Motormaster soon. I can't wait to see their take on him and how they handle the scale issues with his truck mode etc. It should definitely be quite interesting.

I couldn't agree more, just joshing :) It's not quite bad enough for me to replace with the TFC option but will be put at the back of my shelf in the shadows, probably on blocks so he is as tall as Bruticus :)

I'm looking forward to seeing Motormaster which is my understatement of the year so far. Does anyone know whether he will have a sword? A height match for Broadside would be ok I guess, but I wouldn't want him to massively dwarf the 'limb' bots, otherwise we are getting into "Soundwave and his cassette lackeys" territory which doesn't suit combiners IMO.

FP could end all of this speculation by showing us a damn picture, I guess they are a masochistic bunch :)

I haven't read/heard anything either way about it yet, but I'm sure they will. It's definitely a big part of what makes Menasor who he is (much like Bruticus' shoulder cannons or Predaking's sword) so I don't think they'll exclude a sword from the set that at least kinda resembles what he had in G1/the comics etc.

He's okay ... for now. I think there's other guys to do before someone tackles Superion again (Defensor would be nice to fill out the last of the S1-2 combiners), but at this point I wouldn't mind a new combiner set to replace him. And no, not Uranus; he's too large and pricey. Actually, something along the size of what we've seen of Menasor right now would be perfect. The individual guys in that are the size of Classics Seekers; the benchmark of jets for me (and that brings it back to the topic at hand).

Where is that head from? Looks beautiful to me! Even though not correct. It'll do for me. the TFC version seems like it'll be to big compared to Herc.

anyway back on topic, really hope repolabels does something cool with this set. There seem to be a lot of room for improvement.

I got rid of mine last year i liked him for a while but after about a year i found him really **** and he had to go , so i'm left with FP Bruticus who is still doing his job i do like that figure but looks very skinny i think my gripe about the both of them is there not solid every time i pick them up to pose something falls off

i hope MMC does Abominus.

wildrider and breakdown look good ...just to small in my opnion

dragstrip looks ok but his feet look to tiny

deadend just looks f**king terrible...i mean wtf is with his feet and legs? he looks as if hes a child wearing shoebox feet

had these guys been the same size as classics sideswipe or starscream i would have been interested. Its the fact there not that much bigger than those scouts that upsets me

Damn, now that you said that and I took a second look, I cannot unsee it :P.

Anyway, I expect FP to drop pics of Motormaster (and possibly Menasor) on us any minute now since all 4 limbs have been revealed and the first figure is set to ship this month. I really doubt they'll disappoint.

A hypothetical question for those that don't find Dead End that appealing. Would you have been against a third use of the Breakdown/Wildrider mold had FP managed to retool it like classics Sunstreaker (so the bsck of bot mode, the car roof, becomes the front)? I know it doesn't look possible due to the design but assuming they managed to make the backpack rotatable and a 3rd vehicle design was used. Would that have been more palatable?

I think it would have, but really, all I think it needed was Breakdown/Wildrider being given a new car shell, and a different head and chest designs. That would have done it for me.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.

But then you would've had people going off on how they had just done some half-arsed remolds instead of all new figures.

I agree that Deadend's feet look crap, but otherwise I think he is okay. I guess for FP it is a case of "damned if you do, damned if you don't". ;)

All too true, I do not mind the look of Dead End at all and I'm eager to see more pictures.

If we just knew more about arm/leg modes we'd know if FP had delivered a scramble city Menasor which would offer people a customable alternative to Dead End. Though with enough patience a repainted set probably won't be too far off in the future.

Agreed. I suggested the Punch/Counterpunch transformation a few pages back. But it appears this version of Dead End is a clear homage to TF Prime Knockout by the shape of his chest. (Hence Breakdown always shining him up) Really a bad decision by Fansproject in my opinion since it's not like TF Prime fans didnt get a Knockout figure. Such a shame everybody seems to screw up with Dead End. In ROTF line he's black with a red stripe. In Animated, he gets a chulo mustache. And now, he becomes Knockout. :-(

Im still going to buy this set, but I am starting to think Fansproject might not live up to the hype on this one...

Since we are the hypemachine, I think the vast majority of us will end up satisfied. I'm just getting Menasor and it happen to be made up of these bots. Once I get them all, it'll probably stay combined for as long as I own it so I can't really complain about botmodes that I'll only be looking at for a few months at most. Sweet cars that combine is all I care about. I don't watch Prime, care about Knockout, or have any attachment to the Stunticons as individuals so I'm happy.

Yeah most of us are in it for the end result Menasor and that's all that matters to be honest unless your buying for individual bots, i don't see knockout in Deadend other than the chest is flat and a similar colour my bother lies in dragstrip i would have sooner had something like the classics mould , plus look at herc or giant there are plenty of dodgy cons among them but then again all cons are dodgy ;)

Weapon: No Weapon
I'm more into the modern re-interpretation angle of anything relating to neo-g1. As I noted before I kind of like Knock Out, and feel like he should've been named Dead End anyway, so seeing an intermix of the 2 characters appeals to me quite well.

If not for things like that(and possibly the end result) I may not have invested in the entire set, as on the whole I never liked the Stunticons or Menasor... just Breakdown.
