I personally don't consider the CW version to be nearly close enough to the original Deathsaurus, so I refer to it as "Dezarus" like on the box. That said, this is, to me, the first real attempt to make a contemporary version of Deathy.

Thoughts? Opinions? I'm excited, for one, although it seems like it won't scale all that well against MP Star Saber.

I saw the preorder. I liked the look. Then I saw the price...

Still, it will be neat to see this one come to fruition...

Head is off from Dezaras. it lacks the stereotype JP courtier sinister look.

So, having seen this in color, and now with the new "Expansion Pack" upgrade kit being offered, I'm leaning towards this version over MMC's buy-two-figures-to-get-both-the-comic-and-cartoon-versions deal. Plus, this may have been said before, the beast mode head is larger on Planet X's figure. I don't know if that's more or less accurate, but it's more appealing to me personally. I'm still concerned about how big it would look against MP Star Saber, but maybe I just won't display them together.

It'd be really nice to have a decently-sized IDW-design collection.
