In theory, they have the same powers and weapons. The thing is, G1 Prime is NOT a killer. He's a big softie. For that reason alone, he couldn't last two minutes against Movieverse Prime. Movieverse Prime is a bloodthirsty killer who will not hesitate to maim, dismember, or decapitate his opponent's head.

G1 would to only for the knock-down, while MV would go for the kill.

Your thoughts?

... No? G1 Prime is stronger, more durable, does have a ruthless streak, has much more experience and would cleave movie Prime in half with one blow, while movie Prime's weapons... wouldn't.

i say that it will be an extremely challenging battle for the both, but i go for Movie Prime, but because he is not a softie, well...Movie Prime is softie with anyone who's not a Decpticon, i say Movie wins because of the axe, sword, and the other weapons with the movie one.

The same Optimus who, as his first act after being rebuilt by Alpha Trion gunned down an entire line of Decepticonoldiers without even batting an optic sensor!!!

Or had pretty much no problem beating the slag out of... any Decepticon in the show.

I remember at least three similar threads, it's just like Unicron vs. Death Star, from time to time, somebody opens a new.

The general concensus is, G1 Optimus would tear Movie Prime apart.

G1 Prime is not a softie, he strafed the hell out of half the attacking decepticons in the movie:

I need to watch the movie again. The animation quality is way better than I remembered.

By the way, the duel might be quite epic because both Primes are evenly matched.

So, to spice things up, LET'S PIT ALL OF THE OPTIMUS PRIMES FROM ALL UNIVERSES IN A GRAND BATTLE ROYALE! (Alternity OP is disquialified because he come from the MarieSueverse.)

... No. They are not evenly matched. G1 Prime is stronger, tougher, has more powerful weapons, much more experience and pretty much would not hesitate to fight movie Prime.

First blow that lands/laser shot and movie Prime is pretty much crippled. Then it's all downhill from there.

I think some of the Unicron trilogy Optimi might be very capable if they would use the potentials of their über-upgrades to their fullest (like, their guns/claws/etc... would actually do some damage instead of just being the daily gimmick)
