I always wanted to have a shockwave I think i went through 3 of them before i got a decent boxed one.

The first one the seller had glued the thing together. I mean seriously! the connectors were covered in glue. Had to put it in hot water to get it off. Then set about repairing the thing which i didn't realise i had to do as he had not mentioned it cheeky B"trying to get by the spam filter.. NO.trying to get by the spam filter.. NO.$%dd negative feedback large for him.

Then I eventually got a good condition boxed one some seller sold and I have had him ever since even put him in a sealed bag for extra protection.

I remember in the comics when he fought scorponok and nearly beat him but good old scorps smashed him and his illogical dreams of conquest.

That's about fifty kinds of awesome, Delicon.

Alrighty just a few things, monstergrotusque mentioned using a form of grease on the hose to prevent cracking and degradation...any other alternatives to this?

So I'm stoked having G1 Shockwave back in my possession but his box is worn (I've seen way worse) and the opened flap has a big part ripped off. Should I keep the box (flatten it and store away) or toss it and buy a new empty one sold on ebay?

The thing that I noticed for the first time ever from all the original inserts that came with the fig was the one that folds out and has all the and to collect. There is one image where they are shown fighting with actual sparks flying, Soundwave is seen sitting on his ass while Shockwave's cannon is on the wrong arm like in DOTM. Can anyone comment on this? Funny looking none the less.

Use Armor on leather protector. As for the battle scene, just a creative means of presenting a simulated battle scene. Those were the days when catalogs really kicked @ss! Last time I saw those were in the Superlink inserts.

That "grease" that i use absorbs instantly and isn't shiny or slippery. Just so ya know. Looks like bran new rubber once applied and it penetrates deep.



This is the stuff i use. Trust me. It's awesome. But it's tuff too find. So maybe the armor all leather stuff mentioned above might work aswell.

might sell my boxed shockwave off this year as I recently acquired Fortress Maximus with box for £525.

For yours I recommend putting him in a plastic sealed bag maybe if he is not going on display.
