I'm playing it over again, because why not? Apparently so little of it stuck in my head, it makes the game feel remarkably fresh, despite the fact that I haven't even owned the game for a whole year.
Just cleared the Silent Realm in Lanayru (Those horrible horrible things are WAAAAY easier if you use a guide) and got access to the Time Boat.
Yes...Time Boat. It's awesome as hell.

I need to play that. The last one I've played was The Wind Waker. What's Skyward Sword about?

It's basically the origin story of everything. Including the creation of the Master Sword, as well as the explanation for Ganondorf's constant returns, as well as why Zelda is always so important. It's the earliest entry in the official timeline, and it's been stated that the Link and Zelda who appear in it are, chronologically, the first Link and Zelda ever.

Steady progress here. Just finished these levels:
- Horseradish Hill
- Brussels Sprouts Bay
- Apple Acres
- Spud City
- Bridge Bottoms
And found 6 of the 12 necessary and 21 total Boobus Bombs. Yeah, don't ask about the name.

Everything is reliant on blade mode and parrying, the latter of which I still kind of suck at. On the second eliminate all enemies mission, I cleared both hordes, the first using blade mode and the second by getting lucky and scoring a parry with the whole group bunched together, but couldn't get past the third horde of custom cyborgs.
Hell I wasn't even EXPECTING a 3rd horde.

GAME OVER BEATEN. And I'm a bit disappointed by this title. Sure, it says Keen, but it's not really Keen, you know? And the game looks a bit unfinished, especially with the ending, no images like the original trilogy. O well, was still fun in its own right.

I started it yesterday morning and I beat it like a half an hour ago. I did stop in between to celebrate my birthday. But I pretty much did play it half of yesterday and half of today. I beat it on normal also. Now I'm just going around trying to find all of the stuff I missed.
Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Collection
I beat the story mode on Budokai 1 and now I'm just trying to get all of the trophies before I start working on Budokai 3. Afterwards I finish 1 though, Budokai 3 will always be picked. It's just that much better than 1. Too bad there's no online though
Those are 2 games I got for my birthday. I also got TF: Fall of Cybertron finally. I'm going to start the story mode tonight. I already played a few round of multiplayer. I'm still not sure if it's better than WFC or worse (gameplay wise).

GENETICALLY DIFFERENT, BABY!
Did the Bank Heist with Packie and Derrick, now I'm running a few different jobs for them, Gerald, and Ray.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown:
I could have beaten this yesterday, I saved right before using the Gollop Chamber, though not in the final mission itself. I took a break, and ended up reading spoilers. Then I...uh...decided I'd like to spend a little more time with my best soldier before she...well, you'll see when you finish the game...

Dodge, I cannot stress that enough. X plus Square,(or A and X if your on X-Box) Plus the left stick to dodge, and ninja run as often as possible. I find parrying easy myself, I can parry Ray's head on attacks in very hard mode, as well as his direct sword swings and so on rather easily. Just aim in the direction of the attacks and block. Or dodge and counter. Both work farely well, and you'll need to master them to survive the bosses on higher difficulties. F*cking Monsoon....
Blade mode is a bit complex from a technical perspective. You dond just hack away, you need to aim. You could just use the right stick to aim, but I find lining up the cut with the right stick (Like hold it in one direction, "About to cut.) and hitting square or triangle (X or Y) to be easier for precise cuts. Hope that helped. Remember though, Square/X For sideways cuts,Triangle/Y For downward/upward cuts.

I have everybody unlocked on both Budokai and Budokai 3. On Budokai, now I'm just playing the World Tournament mode so I can buy a crap load of capsules and have everything for everybody. I don't plan on playing it again afterwards, it's just a self achievement type thing. On Budokai 3, I have everything I can unlock from the Dragon Universe mode. All the characters I can get from it and all of the capsules. In the Dragon Universe mode, I unlocked the Saibamen and the Cell Jrs along with the Cell Games Tournament. I'm going to eventually play through it all just to see what else I can get. And then I just have to go to the skills shop and buy everything else from that. I also got the platinum trophy for it.
Transformers Fall of Cybertron
I started the campaine mode, but when I got to the level where you play as Bruticus, it keeps freezing my PS3 up.

Before resorting to that, try restarting the mission and trying again. This is a common issue, ESPECIALLY with Bruticus. Restarting the whole mission from Chapter select is the only fix I know, and it may still freeze up a couple more times down the road...

Thanks for the advice, Beastprowl!
Damn, I didn't even know you could dodge. I'll definitely give that a try.
As for parrying, I find it hard to get the timing right. Mostly I end up blocking instead.
Ironically, I'm not so bad with blade mode. More often than not, I can score a Zandatsu. I also use a similar technique for cutting. I line up the cut, and simply release the stick to cut. I find that pushing the stick to the opposite side to simulate a cut to be very inaccurate. I'll try out your technique, as it seems like an even better way.

Freezing is a well-known problem with the WFC and FOC games. Getting the disc replaced won't guarantee a glitch-free game, as it's a software problem. IMO, try out what Beastprowl advised, and it that doesn't work, remove the disc, delete the game data (NOT your game save data, but the data the game installed into your console) on the PS3 and reinsert the disc. That usually works, for some reason.

BWs advise worked and I beat the story mode on normal and finishing it with Megatron. Now I have to do it on hard and finish it with Optimus Prime and then just do the extra things required to get all of the story trophies. on multiplayer, all 4 classes are at least level 12. I try to keep them even. That's what I did on WFC. I also bought all of the DLC for FoC so I can play with Hound on MP

How many Zandatsu's can you do at once? With the cut anything wig, and Armor Breaker, my personal best is 3, though try as I might I cant get more. Is there a Zandatsu limit?

I got lucky once and scored 3 Zandatsu's, but mostly its single ones, and the occasional double Zandatsu's. I haven't unlocked that particular wig (didn't even know there was a cut anything wig--how do you unlock it?) but I'm using the blue one which gives you unlimited time in blade mode, and Armor Breaker.
Not sure if there's a limit to Zandatsu's, but I don't think so. Thing is, I don't think the blade mode screen can accommodate more than three targets even when bunched together, as the screen zooms in on the enemy during blade mode.

Again, thanks for the heads-up! I've already gotten all the left hands, but am still missing 3 of the ID chips. I'll be starting on Hard mode once I fully upgrade my Armor Breaker.
...not that the wig will do me any good in VR missions, as you're only limited to the weapons they allow you to have, which is the standard blade and whatever sub-weapons you already have.

So...you collect these identification tags, and then you get a wig for Raiden that boosts his abilities?
...clever, Platinum Games, very clever indeed.
Resident Evil 6:
Working on getting the last of the Serpent Emblems. So far, all that's left are the ones in Chris's campaign. I also did a couple of Intersection Events, in particular playing as Ada, helping a guy fight off a boss as Leon. Well, "help" isn't the right word; the scene involves Ada in an attack helicopter so it was more like "winning the fight for him, but it took no effort on my part so it's all good."

I just bought and started downloading the first Mass Effect game onto my PS3. Now I have the whole series minus the comic. I have all 4 novels, all 3 games and all the DLC for the games. I just need to find the comic and I can start the series. I'm one of them people who needs everything in the series to truly appreciate it.

I hate you, Google, you used to be cool, now you're the opposite.
In the meantime, I started on Mercenaries mode. I unlocked Piers, Helena, and Sherry, as well as Sherry's alternate outfit. (It's her old school uniform...except it hasn't been resized to fit her adult body)
