burn,thanks for the info.

is their any reason for the delay in episodes for the cleveland show?

is bob's bugers cancelled after they get their 9 episodes aired?

I read on that link that the "king of the hill" show got cancelled. my guess is it's because britanny murphy died. the show creaters probably didn't want to cheapen her death by replacing her with a new voice actress. perhaps the show creaters wanted to show some respect towards britanny murphy & her family thus cancelled the show.

Probably to give Allen Gregory a chance to get over.

The episodes haven't even aired yet. I think it's a little early to be talking about premature cancellation.

The decision to cancel was over a year before her death. The decision was more likely from low (or at least lower than they wanted) ratings, as well as giving Seth Macfarlane The Cleveland Show. Although I hated how Fox treated the show, giving more attention to lesser shows and putting it in the horrible 7 PM Sunday timeslot (constantly pre-empted by football), it did have a good run of over 250 episodes.

Yeah, it's a shame King of the Hill didnt' even get to air four of it's last six episodes on FOX(they did air on CN and are on Netflix). The show may have degraded slightly, but I thought it was at least consistent and really did enjoy the sublte and down to earth humor, so it didn't linger or get canceled prematurely.

Still, I can't say I'm a fan of The Cleveland Show replacing it, and I ignore the show unless the description looks interesting. And it's renewed through Season 4? Yay....

Of course there's a reason. There's always a reason shows are on one week then disappear for two weeks or so then come back on. It's just something tv networks do to drag their seasons out because they want to get specific episodes into a specific ratings period, or because they haven't finished making them yet.

So King of the Hill got cancelled ... loved that show. It never really took off in Australia though. Think we got as far as season 5. :-(

Good news about Bob getting more episodes. I actually kinda like that one. Coach McGurk's voice makes the show.

I'm hoping like heck though that Allen Gregory gets cancelled as fast as Fox can possibly pull the plug. I cannot stand that show, even for noise. It would probably do great on Adult Swim, nestled between one of those goofy non-funny live action nightmares and one of Adult Swim's many carelessly scribbled and equally unfunny animated shows.

This is of course my opinion, so please do not flame. :P

I haven't seen Adult Swim in years since I don't have cable. I can't say I've seen any of the live action stuff, but I already thought that way about the "animated" shows back when they came out with Squidbillies and 12 oz. Mouse. It's like they were challenging themselves to make the most poorly drawn, poorly animated, WTF is going on plotted shows, and this was like 6 or 7 years ago.

I also agree with Allen Gregory. This last episode was the first time I watched the show, and I was already pissed off at it within one minute when the "protagonist" fired the cleaning lady just for using the bathroom. The only characters that are likable or relatable are the ones that get the worst treatment, and I just want to give Allen Gregory a swirlie, atomic wedgie, and 3rd degree indian burns all at once before throwing him into an oncoming train.

Last I heard Bob is being held in consideration as a mid season pick up.

And judging by the poor response from that new show Allen Gregory...we'll see Bob's come back.

Cleveland is indeed on a break but they seem to do that with the Seth shows, they run two on one off, American Dad had that the first year Cleveland was on...I think the concept is to allow room for new shows to be slipped in while something is on break.

As over as Seth's shows are I don't think FOX wants to make Sunday night COMPLETELY Seth programming. Sure they like the ratings he's pulling in but all Seth all the time will burn things out...as is I feel Family Guy has slipped a notch in the past two seasons...its still a great show but I can almost feel the creative fire slowing down...some shows it just seems like they have decided to toss ANYTHING at the screen no matter if it makes any sense or not.

Seth has even expressed that he feels Family Guy may have run its course, but if people think its stil funny he'll keep making them.

Oddly American Dad and Cleveland have been just getting better with each season.

As for King of the Hill...I'm sorry I know people loved this show but I never saw the appeal, honestly Beavis and Butthead was way better and every time I have tried watching King of the Hill I find myself wander away from the episodes.

I will agree, it was pretty much dumped in bad fashion but that is TYPICALLY Fox standard reaction to ending shows...just cancel it...no final episode no play out of remaining just shut it down. Hell Family Guy saw that happen once, and the list of shows Fox has done that too is endless...see the first episode from when Family Guy came back they even made fun of it.

What I do wonder is Fox and the relationship with The Simpsons...it seems to be pretty shakey in recent years each time the subject of Fox re-newing Simpsons comes up there seems to be SOME problem.

At the end of the day TV in general is a giant chopping block, shows better DEBUT in the top 3 in ratings in its time slot or its already in trouble, and if it debuts there...it better hold it...ALL SEASON or at least the majority of its season because the minute things seem to slip...no matter if your in mid storyline of not...Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles...Reaper...V...countless others, you just get scrapped.

Hopefully if you've been on long enough you at least get a fairwell episode, but as you saw with King of the Hill...that ain't always the case.
