Opaque plastic = glowing?

And, if it were the Star Saber, wouldn't it make sense for the official press release that usually uses such official IP terms to call it that instead of just a generic "sword"?

shrug.

if you've seen any of the movie toys, you know opaque bright orange is used to represent the energized weapons that appear in the films.

also, I'm speaking in referential terms, a big Star Saber-y sword that appears in the movies is a reference to the Star Saber, even if they don't call it that. You're being very literal when I am not, so that's why you seem confused.

Weapons known as the "Star Saber" have had many varying designs over the years. To be frank, this sword's design is so generic that it could be a reference (if at all) to a number of things.

I said it didn't look like a leader class. If this is how big the new leader class is going to be then I'll pass on them all, unless Ryan is a giant.

Looks about as tall as a Weaponizer (which were about a head shorter than the average Leader) to me.

They were also $15 cheaper, which this isn't.

It could be the perspective. He might not be right next to the display, but a few steps in front of it. Either way, the figure looks quite small by Leader Class standards, anyway.

If it's at least Weaponizer size, it'll be still bitter, but an easier pill to swallow. However, since I'm focused on the new figures for AOE and finishing my ultimate DOTM Optimus, I'll be passing on this guy for sure.

He's leaning against the display, look at his arm, you can see where the edge of the display presses against his arm.

My original point was, if it's at least the height of a Weaponizer, then that means it's approximately the height of a Leader. >:oP

There will be some perspective at play because Ryan is leaning on a cabinet at his back. I don't know how big Ryan's face is but OP seems to measure from Ryan's chin bone to his eyebrows. I have a rather long face and that comes to about 6 inches on me. That's tall deluxe/short voyager size. Even TFA leader Megatron is over 8 inches tall.
