Unfortunately there is no place that is safe from natural disasters of some sort.. Good thing about hurricanes is they give you some time to prepare.. Only ones like this one come and bite you in the ass because unlike most that are in and out of here this one sat for almost 2 days hammering us with 80+ mph winds and rain..
They are so unpredictable.. I remember years ago there was a storm that was a cat 3 when we went to sleep, then by the next morn it dropped to a low cat 1..

Elderly folks on my block are sleeping on their front porches..
People are getting angry from being in the heat..
All this from a measly very slow moving cat 1 storm.. Incredible..
