Just like the bed sheets, I doubt the t-shirts will come in any sizes that will fit me.

Past listings had the Sparkers referred to as "Jousters" or "Joust Sparkers", and since they appear to come in 2-packs (1 Autobot & 1 Dinobot each, plus Lockdown and Wolf), these might be pull-back motorized "steed & rider" toys that run at each other in faux jousting matches.

Surely the adults will come in XXXL and the like (I hope so, I'm short yes, but wildly disproportionate  )

Change? ~pats your bedding~ Mmm... crispy.

Funny now a conversation about the more frivolous aspects of collecting gets the tidal wave (pun!) of replies. New Generations figures? Masterpiece? Nah... we want to discuss the Hotwheels-esque non transforming toy car set, thanks. ;)

We all know the shelves will be stuffed with this stuff for a good year or so now, so its time to either learn to appreciate it, it bury our heads in the sand like a nerd-raging ostrich.

Now... where is my shovel?

Surely we can simply learn to put our heads under the covers?

Don't get me wrong, I have little interest in any of these toys. But they are fun gimmicks and merchandise for young'uns. Plenty of franchises have them. What bugs me is the cheapness of the 'real' (if I may say) TF toys of late. Like the upsized Beast hunters, and no doubt any mainline AoE toys will be cheap looking, cheaply made and won't satisfy my taste for good transformations. The cheapness is something I can't look past. A product can be simple and aim at it's target audience without being half assed and cheaply done. The simple transformations are a problem for movie figs due to the designs, but again the simplicity is not the problem in and of itself. Seriously, get a line like animated back and nobody will care about the lack of puzzle solving and complexity because it doesn't hinder the look of the toy or the character it portrays. And it satisfies both ends (at least I get the feeling animated did...)
I remember having a bump and go Voltron as a kid. Sure it was fun, but I always wanted a 'proper' Voltron as well, i.e one that separated and combined all it's parts. As long as Hasbro still provides that equivalent there really is no problem.

I fondly remember my G1 Megatron Pyjamas. Nobody can deny a kid of today that same feeling. Another 30 years from now all the kids loving this stuff here will look at the latest toy fair offerings and be like 'OMG this stuff is sh*t. Remember back in 2014 when we had REAL transformers?! Bring back Micheal Bay Hasblow!!'

Maybe Hasbro wouldn't need to cut costs if Transformers' Hollywood success hadn't gone to there heads and hadn't blown millions on a blockbuster version of Noughts and crosses Battleship. But I digress bitterly. (and sarcastically)

I dunno. Most of this comes across as flash in the pan merch. But, business is business.

I am happy to see more TF t-shirts :D

Its swings and roundabouts, I guess.

G1 started off with well designed and thought out figures and slowly devolved into the brick-like Powered Masters and Action Masters. We had a return to form (of sorts) with the G2-exclusive figures and then Beast Wars arrived, climbed to lofty heights before doing a repeat of G1 with some of the more highly suspect Beast Machines toys. We had a happy reprise with RID, then immediately sunk back down the complexity toilet in Armada (which I like, oddly). ECT, ECT...

We're lucky enough at the moment that Hasbro are now supporting multiple lines, so there is a good chance we'll all get something. I remember dark, dark times where some collectors would clamor over the single release of one Alternators toy, because the other line available wasn't pleasing at the time.

We've got -

Movie
Generations
Masterpiece
and (possibly) new-cartoon toys (new show later this year)

But this *is* flash in the (bed)pan merchandise! :D

It's mostly the licensed stuff that Hasbro doesn't really care about or acknowledge (at least from my Toy Fair experience this year - everyone seemed pretty clueless). The Masterpiece line has lived up and is living up to its name so far. Generations is doing pretty well, and it looks as though it'll finally bring an Arcee to collectors. Rescue Bots, don't forget them! Also look like they'll do pretty well from what we've seen.

And then there's the movie stuff. Which we'll see in a couple of weeks.

~smokes pipe~ You turning this into a competition, sonny? Its convenient H.G Welles was English, as his Timemachine is clearly real and fully functional here in British toy shops.

Worst case of old stock I'd ever seen was Gamley's (remember them?! lol) had BEAST MACHINES toys on the pegs alongside Energon figures.

I haven't been to TRU since last...september? They had the first wave of Generations deluxes but we don't get the comics! Still had some Foc, but it was nice to see MP Soundwave, Acid storm and Metroplex (who I had gone to buy) The new Tesco that opened in my area was exciting for all of 5 minutes. Non of the beast hunters stock has shifted and Construct-bots wheeljack and Soundwave just look sad. :-( Last time I went into a home bargains an entire shelf was FULL of that nitro something deluxe Bumblebee from DOTM. Crazy.

I'm obviously interested in seeing the mainline AoE figs, but the 2 Prime's we have seen so far don't leave much room for hope, and they won't be anything like the good figures from ROTF. Still, I am actually happy to save money not buying movie toys. I still wants me Rhinox, Waspinator and MP Wheeljack! :KREMZEEK:

Same. Argos obviously have no interest in Generations, and like I say Tesco can't budge Beast Hunters stuff. My TRU is in the next town, have to take a bus for near 30 mins. It had a decent stock surprisingly, even Voyager Soundwave and some data discs. No idea what it's like recently.
