Any kid who buys the toy would know about it because the story is literally right there in the instructions.

At the end of the day, Hasbro's a toy company first and foremost. They make toys to make money, regardless of supplementary advertisement.

Rated X wrote:Hell even stealth bumblebee from that wave made it in the Cartoon.
That's backwards. The cartoon makers came up with that color scheme for the show model first, which Hasbro later made into a toy form (but on a non-show-accurate mold, so there's still no accurate Deluxe toy of BB as he appeared in that cartoon color scheme).

Completely ignoring anything that has to do with Predacons, how was it not handled well?

Cuz if your entire argument is based solely on the lack of Predacons, then I can't help you with that.

I guess the only thing left to do is, if you want more Preds, then go watch Transformers Go! since they got nothing but Predacons as the enemy faction in that show. ;)

I leave my instructions in the package and head straight to youtube. Im hoping todays kids are smart enought to do the same. I know Hasbro is all about money, but they did something sort of different this time. And yes my arguement is based soley on lack of Predacons. :D

Well, that's you, not everyone.

Rated X wrote:Im hoping todays kids are smart enought to do the same.
Well, come 2014 and kids won't have to bother with instructions since the toys are gonna get so simplistically easy to transform. :|

But for toys as complicated as, say, the ROTF toys or Alternators or Masterpieces, any kind of instructions (be it the packaged ones or YouTube tutorials) are a must for any inexperienced buyer. ;)

Rated X wrote:I know Hasbro is all about money, but they did something sort of different this time.
How did it differ from, say,
  • Beast Wars season 3 (which only brought in three new characters, one of which was last-minute and killed off immediately),
  • Beast Machines season 2 (which had the subtitle of "Battle for the Spark" and brought in three new characters),
  • Or Animated season 3 (which brought in no brand new main characters, only bringing in more guest characters and upgrading a few existing guest characters to main character status)

Can't reference any other series since G1 wasn't done in the same mold as later cartoons, and the Japanese-based cartoons only had one season each.

Rated X wrote:And yes my arguement is based soley on lack of Predacons. :D
Well, like I said, it can't be helped. The subtitle simply deceived you and many others. All we can say at this point is that it was stupid of them to tack on a meaningless subtitle to the series main title.

A thought just occurred to me. These Beast Bites feel very similar to the biographical shorts we got for several characters in Transformers Animated.

And if many people want those included on Shout! Factory's upcoming Animated DVDs, I could see these Beast Bites being good fodder for DVD extras on the Prime season 3 DVD set.
