After a few years I've acquired a few accessories and bits that have lost their lustre, literally, and I'm hoping to get the chrome re-applied. Apparently it's possible, but I'm having no luck finding someone who does it.
Can this be done? Has anyone ever had it done? Anyone know someone who does this sort of thing?

At least in the US of A, there are sure to be restoration services around. Re-chroming is possible but not at a do it yourself at home style.

the problem is there isn't a lot of places that do plastic chroming.
Most do it for model tree's and they are expensive per piece.

Why not just paint the parts with a nice chrome paint?

I'd rather maintain the object's original style as much as possible.

@ Mkall
The closest you can emulate the chrome effect is Wave company's Kosutte ginsan.
I got mine from hobbysearch.

Now that's an interesting idea. Kind of like self-applied vac-metal. I think I'll research this. Thanks!
