Their legit horrible people when it comes to stuff like this which is why I only watch their Youtubers react.
Yup.
I've watched a few of these before and found them ridiculous. I wasn't surprised at how this played out.

Similar things have not been front paged in the past why now?
Because I say so.

Not going to lie, while reading this I imagined Va'al's avatar turning into stern face with a red glow.

To be entirely honest, I don't think G1 comes off bad in this video at all.
And all the kids make some really interesting points on the generational difference between then and now, and TRANSFORMERS that TRANSFORM vs the movieverse aesthetics - I dunno, I felt it was very neutral overall, and a good insight into the current target audience of the franchise (movies aside).
The statements about money and remakes! SO ON POINT

Yep, agreed. I don't think any of their videos are made to make one thing look better than another and I certainly didn't get that out of this video. They never once said anything negative about G1 and even said that our generation loved it when we were kids.
I think what people are forgetting, however, is that these are "reaction videos" so of course they're going to optimize the kids' reactions by comparing character designs that couldn't be any further apart. If anything the kids seemed to really like the G1 look over the movie designs and how they actually looked like they could turn into something. I guess if you went in expecting the worst that's what you'll get, but for me I'd say the kids actually appreciated the originals more than they usually do in these videos.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

how did we react to watching your parents old shows
compared with the newer ones we watched as a kid
although interesting this doesn't prove anything new
It depends on your generation. In the very early 80's when I was a kid, there weren't many channels or different shows to watch. So we grew up watching EVERYTHING from the 50's on up. Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo, Heckel and Jeckel...all of these were 20 years old or more but were still in syndication. That being said, I definately prefered Bravestar or Silverhawks to Heckel and Jeckel
