That's Fansprojact's doing. I can't wait for those guys. May pass on these since I already have the first one they did. Plus, aren't Maketoys and Fansproject the same company? I think someone had mentioned that before....

Some poeple who haven't dropped money on the KOs already may drop money for these versions. Not everyone is like you in their buying of KOs (and this isn't a knock, this is just a statement of fact), there are a lot of people hostile to KOs.
It's true the KO guys could copy the new parts. But it's eaqually possible that they won't bother. Since they've already shown a finished product I gotta wonder if they'll try to go the extras mile and get their hands on the new parts of this.
Plus they haven't officially dropped their minibots line as far as I can tell. These things take time; it may be that it's still a go.

wtf is the point in these??
unless theres a chms ko coming out of the G2 Prime in the botcon and magnus colors....then wtf is the point in both these trailers? KO or Maketoy?
we cant all afford to pay outa the ass for ebay prices for botcon prime and magnus. Even if we did thats what? £120 here in the uk for a purple G2 prime and then say £40 for the ko tanker. So thats £160 on a small toy not that much bigger than a voyager which is just going to sit on your shelfs as a display piece?....
Not many people will own the botcon or shattered glass prime and im sure that these 2 trailer will just look crap on normal G2 prime...so why make a market for such a small amount of people who will own magnus and Sg prime?
The only viable reason for this is that maketoys MUST know if theres a KO prime being made by chms or someone else on the horizon. Otherwise your just making a mass release Trailer for figures which will be in short supply which means not many of the trailer will be sold

Im not saying they shouldnt try to milk their own mold. Im merely suggesting they start working on some new projects that will build a buzz. Once your mold gets KOed, it's time to move on. You dont see Fansproject rushing to issue SG and Crystal City Commanders to show up the KO companies original repaints. Now you can buy KO versions of the City Commander rocket launchers and gun in black for your Shadow Commander. You can also buy KO Scythes (without the protector armor) in both black and red. Once again, I dont see Fansproject rushing to put out offical versions. These KO companies seem to catch on quick with add ons. So my guess is the shoulder add ons and Magnus head will be KOed next. I dont play favorites with KO companies. I endorse them to KO 3rd party stuff the same way I endorse them to KO Hasbro stuff. Quality control seems to be just getting better and better with each high quality KO since CHMS and KOLD started the trend a few years back. Im always willing to get an expensive figure for half price. A dollar saved can be spent elsewhere.
BTW, until I see it in writing (in English) that Fansproject and Maketoys are related, I dont aknowledge that rumor.
