arg. the options for variation, and the size of Chaos...I'm pretty much sold on this. Might get a Marine or Jungle version as well if the price is right. Now...is there any other Maketoys stuff I don't have or that I don't want?

Picked up Steelshot and preordered the Jungle set. Chaos is as good as preordered too.

Since no one else will break the apparent silence; BBTS has them for $50 a pop. Pricy, but not unheard of. You can have them fight over the good limb set.

It's probably because this thread has primarily been about the 'Fallen' (i.e. gray/black/purple/orange) version, not the other two. I think that's the one most are interested in.

I have a question though. Do the other ones (the jungle one and the other) form a robot just like the third one we're waiting on, or will he have extra bits that make him into a full bot instead of just a bunch of accessories that turn into a tank?

Both MB01-SP1/SP2 doesn't have a core. MB01C has both the limbs and core.

Can you wonderful folk set me straight on a couple of things...

Daimchoc added a couple of links to pre-orders for the 3 different sets.
It was mentioned that only one of the three sets (MB01C) contain the 'commander core'.

So the black version is the only set which will create the full robot 'Fallen' homage?
The other two sets contain the same add-ons only but in different colours?

Now lets sit back and watch those PCC commanders disappear!

Yes, the black and orange set is Paladin (the core commander)/Chaos (the combined partsformer).

The Jungle Assaulter and Marine sets only have the add-on tank (repaints of the parts that form Chaos).


I will pre-order this, I'm almost certain. Just need to wait for some money to come through.

I too am tired of paying up front, and paying more as well. I do still buy from Kapow now and then, but have been placing more orders through TFSource, who give me the option of paying now, or later, and even with international shipping, as usually cheaper and not much slower to deliver either.

I have Battle Tanker, and their Seaspray and Powerglide. No complaints about the quality of any of the pieces. All nice and solid, paint and joints all as they should be. Only tiny problems I have are along the lines of "I wish it had this/this was a different colour/etc" or "Powerglide why u have a screw in your forehead?". Quality products.

and yep UK-based here. I bought a couple things off TFScource that I simply couldn't get anywhere else. They were quick, and not overly expensive with the shipping costs. Sure, they charge more than Kapow do, and take a tad longer (week and half-2 weeks-ish vs 3-8days with Kapow depending on posties) but the prices are much better. Haven't gotten anything off them that I've pre-ordered yet, but have the MP Cassettes set up to come when they're released, for about a fiver less than the unshipped price on Kapow. Got the FP and Asia Bruticus repaints ordered too, but shipping them as a set, still for less than Kapow would probably be, if they even had the Munitioner and Explorer recolours up.
Don't get me wrong, Kapow have done me well in the past, and I still buy stuff from them (Thundertron, a few weeks back) but if TFSource takes your fancy they've been good too. Of course, as yet, TFSource don't have Chaos up for pre-order.

TFSource (who still don't have it for pre-order) will take Pay Later. the MP Cassettes are on that for me.
