My bank account senses a great disturbance in the force with that picture. MakeToys' catalog had them as August, BBTS and others have the release date as September. I was kinda hoping it would be here in October because it's a better month to deal with a $400 bomb (and all these other August preorders getting pushed into Sept now).

But they look totally cool! Is this really that close to shipping out?

It's great to see all of the toys in the clear plastic tray side by side each other. It really gives buyers a perspective how small the limbs bots are in relation to the core team leader bot. Scattershot looks like a Eight inch Ultra toy. While the Technobots limbs bots look like their all commander-small deluxe scaled toys.

Think the similar toy design style and scale has me more convinced that FP and MT are brother-sister companies. or the same freelance designers are creating toys for both FP and FT.

Won't be buying this because the plastic looks too thin and low quality on the MT limbs-bots Technobots. Also the limbs bots are too small and have that radical non-g-1 updates sculpts. I could easily get all of these negatives from hasbro in 2015-2016 from their Technobots Combiners wars toy for a fraction of the price.

Never cared much for the 1987 Technobots. They got awful generic, booring, barely 1-d personas. With very little speaking dialogue in the G-1 Cartoons. Only have enough love for these Technobots characters to spend Hasbro toy prices on them. Don't love the characters enough to warrant spending those exspensive 3rd party toy prices on them.

'Fraid so. In a way, I'm almost hoping for a repeat of Chaos/Paladine and Mobine, where it took so long to receive the product. My wallet, and my new eBay selling hobby could use a little more time...

On the other hand, Mobine and Chaos/Paladin were delayed almost a year (or was it more than a year) for me. I don't know that I want to go that long.

Maybe I can count on the shipping strikes to help with my need for delay? Oh, wait. I shouldn't open that can of worms again!! 8-}

Because of the delays on Mobine and Chaos/Paladin, I actually cancelled all my preorders for those figures and only about a week ago picked up Chaos/Paladin. I'm still in it for Quantron since I've got the EBP "discount", but now I've just gotta play my cards right and not try to pick up any other items I may have missed previously.

On the bright side of things, one more full combiner set for my collection/display.

This thing definitely looks ready to ship. I'm glad I saved up my money for it. This would mark my seventh G1 combiner in some stage of completion, leaving just three left.

Yeah. It's listed as 'September' at BBTS, but as we've seen with MMC, that's an estimate at best.

They do look nice, but the price? Metroplex is a quarter of the price, twice the height and an insanely awesome toy in his own right.

yes, but that kind of stuff seems very flexible lately

Yeah, you've pretty much explained my reasoning in a nutshell. Still find myself conflicted though. Who can say now how long it'll be before Has/Tak gives us a Trypticon. Be willing to wager Maketoys pushes out Scorpinok, Fortress Max, and Trypticon before Has/Tak.
