Same, here. There's only three more combiners I'd want, Abominus, Monstructor and Piranacon. And they're not exactly 'high-priority' for me.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

I'm sort of thinking the same not just with combiners but all 3rdp and official . Product is coming thick and fast lately and there is so much of i want but i refuse to let my self get caught up in the frenzy , so i'm dropping a LOT of whats on my list and maybe stick to one or two 3rdp figures a month no more .

For me it's a matter of urgency. With the glut of product, there's no need to rush on preorders for fear of them selling out. I'm sure it will happen from time to time, but not enough to make committing worth it.

Take the Dinobots, for example. My strategy is to lay back and watch the $%^&-show unfold.

That's pretty much why I cancelled my Quantron preorder. That, and because the only Autobot combiner I really care about is Superion. Seriously, if Hasbro can do a decent job on him, I'm sure I'll be happy with whatever they cook up for Defensor, Computron, etc.

Really canceled Quantron? that's 30 bucks though. hmm.. I've been thinking about it but I don't see myself wanting the Warbotron one.. Also don't think Hasbro will get to it anytime soon. so there's no other option for me at least.

they will probably do combiners with repaintable molds next like the Defensor, and bruticus. Probably even predaking. How will Hasbro ever repaint Computron molds?

Yeah the dinobot **** storm had me thinking about this . It's fking stupid the choice we have now it made me wanna sit back for once and just think for a moment then decide what i really want to pay for instead of something i'm just gonna buy being caught up in the rush of it .

Combiner wars ? i still don't know about this line . Hasbro have an awesome thing here and could pump out all of the combiners if they chose to . As for repainting computron they dont have to push anything out just sit on it a while and im sure they will come out with some bullshit , they had Generations Kup and Warpath doing nothing for a couple of year and to be honest i still think they did nothing with them .

I think Hasbro cares about $$$, and to an extent, making folks like us happy.

If they do Computron, sure, there will probably be a repaint or two amongst the limbs. But I'm sure a few original molds will surface for each combiner they do. Plus, there are more Decepticon combiners to draw upon than Autobot ones, so if they get up to 3 opposing pairs of combiner releases, Computron is virtually guaranteed to make an appearance.

I would generally agree that, with repaints, there's probably a decent Computron in there. The one I am worried about at this time is Defensor, given the non-combining team we've seen referenced. Still, at this time, I too am very close to completing my combiner needs. For now...

I'm not nearly as ready to just assume Hasbro will make a Computron. I think it's far more likely we'll get Defensor and some repaints.

So I'm on board for this guy still. And if Hasbro makes Computrom there's no doubt it'll be different than this, so whatever.

Saw the Youtube video and I don't think the Quantron limbs bots are worth paying 3rd party prices for. Think only Quantron Scattershot is worth paying 3rd party prices for.

Since MT and WB took so many libeties with these 3rd party Technobots limbs bots. Don't think their close enough 1987 updates. Think it's wise, for me, to just wait for HasTak to create the 2015-2016 Combiners Wars Computron.

I think Quantron makes a great update to the G1 Computron. And this is coming from someone who hates "neo". Other than Afterburners robot mode and that silly crossbow, whats not G1 about these guys ? Im good with them, scared to see how Hasbro would butcher the Technobots.

Calculating a Combiners wars Computron should be a easy one for HasTak to release in 2015-2016. All that needed is repaints or heavily modified parts like 30th Springer/Sandstorm.

Brawl and Nosecone can use the same mold with or without modified parts. Scattershot can be a heavily modified Slverbolt. Afterburner and Groove can use the same mold. Strafe can be a heavily modified Air raid with 2 jet noses instead of one. Streetwise can be a repainted Deadend with a added police lights bar on the car roof.

Think it's rather petty or silly complaining about a wrong HasTak Combiners wars alt mode. When some 3rd parties are giving combiners teams members differently styled alt modes and differently styled robots modes.

Given the choice of buying botched up 3rd party combiners or Botched up HasTak Combiners wars toys. I'd pick Hasbro as i'm only paying $80 for a combiner team & not over $400 for a 3rd party combiner team.

After seeing a rather lengthy (and I mean lengthy) video review of this set, I lost all desire for it. It's just not what I want. Certain parts of it are good, others are bad, which leads to a mixed bag.

For $430.00, I need something that's going to SELL me on it. Giant and M3 did just that.

Well, I would offer a counter argument and state that the review actually made me want Quantron more. Even the car, with it's overly large front fenders, appeals to me in some way. Perhaps it's the Tron fan in me [edit-relating to the bike, not the car. Sorry for any confusion]. Mostly, I am loving the engineering put into this figure. I love the piston in the elbows to help hide the gap caused my using the leg/hip joints.

I'm just not crazy about the price, which has been previously discussed at length. I love the look of the figures in each mode. I love how playable this looks, especially compared to something like FP M3.

I would also be curious on the bad. Perhaps I'm liking the good so much as to overshadow the bad...

I like Afterburner, mainly because he's a Tron light cycle homage, but his robot mode head looks ridiculous. Nosecone is just a mess and has to be pulled apart in all directions to transform in either direction. Strafe is just a straight up rip off of G1 and it would've been nice to have a bit more intricacy. Lightspeed just looks ridiculous with the fenders, but the robot mode's okay. Scattershot's never been my favorite, either in G1 or this set and the only thing they did better this time around was making the cannon removeable.

The combined form looks nice, that's the only selling point to me. I know there are plenty who love the set as it is and that's cool, but not for me. If someone said "You have to pick between Hasbro's Computron and MakeToys" I'd definitely pick MakeToys in a heartbeat. After seeing what Hasbro's done to their upcoming combiners, I'm less than impressed and have even less hope.

Afterburner is the lightcycle, Lightspeed is the car.

Anyway, I still think these look fantastic. Only had Afterburner and Strafe as a kid, but Scattershot and Lightspeed always put me off by looking quite dull any way. Nosecone and Scattershot are my faves out of this set, but the sniper rifle and rocket pods or doom-hammer options for Afterburner and sword or gun options for Strafe are quite impressive. Combined mode is nice too, but I'm very happy to see that this set has a lot of play options in both modes.
