Judging by the lack of the paint app on the arms, I'd say it very much is.

Rated X wrote:$220.00 ??? What kind of crack are they smoking at Hasbro Asia ???
I paid about $70.00 back here in the USA at my local TRU a couple years back. And it came with a crown, sword, and gun. Granted mine didnt come with the Computron brain thing or the stupid waiters apron and tray, but $150.00 more for a re-release of the Hasbro version ??? This is not the Takara version...

On the other hand, I just don't like the obsolete T-Rex proportions, although I FULLY UNDERSTAND that that's the point of the MP line; to recreate a perfected version of the G1 toy while staying as close to the original designs as possible. Just a personal peeve of mine.
I agree with everyone else that 220 is pretty damn steep, but seeing as everything else has also become more expensive....

fenrir72 wrote:So why then can't this be not the MP-08?
fenrir72 wrote:I could not see Grimlock in any other form except that antiquated rendering of his beast mode
His "realistic" Classic mode made him look.....well more like a Tarzan which I don't dig........maybe a more Fred Flinstone look that we all love.

220 would be way more affordable than anywhere else you'd be able to find him right now.

Yes, most of the time. A 13 USD (approx. 39 MYR) deluxe TF in the USA would cost about 59.90 MYR here (approx. 20 USD). A Takara version would cost almost double that amount.
The only consolation we have here is that shipping costs less to import stuff here from Japanese online stores, than it would cost for someone to import to the US.

Almost the same in Europe then. As my folks would say: "Still wet even when not peed on".
