I'm not sure how I would feel about a chrome face - I'd much prefer a matte silver (I'm thinking about painting the face myself). As far as chromed thighs, that's why I bought the reprolabels set! Haven't had a chance to sticker mine up just yet, but I anticipate having a bit of free time after the New Year.Tsutsukakushi wrote:I'd prefer a 3rd party company created a replacement chrome face & chrome thighs for a cheap price. so buyers of the retail version can convert metro into a SDCC version.

I'm always somewhat hesitant of products made using a 3D printer, so alas, I'm not going to get these. But I hope a 3rd Party company ends up doing something similar.
The hands do look a little rough - have you considered some very light sanding/polishing?I'm not sure how I would feel about a chrome face - I'd much prefer a matte silver (I'm thinking about painting the face myself). So far, I haven't seen any issues with some of the 3D printed materials I have had access to. We'll see how they hold up over the years.
For the silver face, have you ever played with the metallic Sharpies? I've probably gone overboard with their use, but when I get a new one I'm going to try it out on Metroplex. I like the results elsewhere where I've used it.
TBH I think the hands look better in person and have no plans to sand them.megatronus wrote:Looks great - thank you for sharing!

The knee feel much stronger than the original ones and are rock solid. In between writing this I picked Metroplex up by the hips and held him above my head. The old knees would've caused the lower legs to flop about, but now they stay in position perfectly, now movement whatsoever. When I get more time I'll try and take some "action" poses.Sodan-1 wrote:I bought four sections of ramp from MegaMoonMan and I am very impressed with them. The way the sections are connected to each other can be a little fiddly and awkward, but better that than them be too loose and not hold itself up. It's not perfect, but its weaknesses are as a result of the factory equipped ramp. MegaMoonMan also offers a ramp section with a pivot to change it's direction if you so desire.
I didn't go for the knee joints, but I'm slightly regretting it now. Do they feel like they can sufficiently support Metroplex's robot mode, Arctorro?
