Nice, Encore Sixshot! Luckily I picked up a vintage one last year for cheaper, because $140 is pretty expensive. Now if only I can find a spare gun for him.

MP Sunstorm eh. I guess it makes more sense to put out an MP that they haven't done before, even if it is just a lame repaint. Looks cool I guess. Wake me up when they do Thundercracker 2.0.

So what's next from 'our friend'? Didn't I hear Dinobot rumors getting thrown around?

With Hexatron coming down the pipe, I'm not that interested in SixShot, but I'm glad he's coming out nonetheless

Well, it's win-win for me. I'd prefer it if he came out in the US as Starscream, but if they bring it over as Sunstorm, I'm cool with that, too.

So do Sunstorm first, get the sales for that for people who will buy him just because and then release Thundercracker and Skywarp later (because most people will want both of them if they have Starscream or one or the other and less likely to skip one of them than they would a Sunstorm). While a Sunstorm after fact wouldn't likely be as popular (having had a few releases of the new tooling by then) people might just skip him.

Plus I'm sure Sunstorm is being done in an effort to kill any future sales of iGear's version.

It makes perfect sense for iGear to do Sunstorm where selling 2000 of them is considered a success. How many does Takara need to sell for it to be worth their while? Then again, since Takara actually sells theirs for more than iGear, maybe selling 2000 is worth their while, too...yeah, probably not.

But I still maintain if Sunstorm isn't worth their while enough to do as a Henkei or United fig, WTF are they doing releasing it as an MP? Looks to me like they're just trying to 'stick' it to iGear...which is idiotic in its own right considering iGear already beat them to the punch and charge about $50 less...assuming Takara doesn't charge even more for Sunstorm than Starscream.

It could be very likely that this is an e-Hobby exclusive in Japan (only preorders we've seen so far are for Malaysia) or even just an Asia only exclusive (no release for Japan). So who knows how many they're making or they may produce only as many as there are orders for said item.

Well having several official figures and appearing in the comics does make him more official than a lot of other guys. Heck by that standard alone he's more official than a lot of the figures originally released in G1 who appeared less in fiction or got less toys.

Also he wasn't an animation error. It wasn't like he was supposed to be Starscream, Skywarp, or Thundercracker. The first 3 episodes were full of generics, with many of them meant to look like Seekers other than the main 3.

Grimlock had the King Grimlock redeco with the different accessories.

Grimlock ad a redeco for the domestic release too, but he was still Grimlock.

Megatron also hasn't been redecoed. Unless I missed something.

the reason i ask i dont realy buy into the mp i have the tru grimlock and skywarp but thats it

it seems like a pointless line and waist of money when it come to variety as a collector

Since I didn't take the time to read through every single post I'll apologize in advance if someone already asked this but is that the actual TakaraTomy pic of their product or did they just use the pic of FrenzyRumble's custom Sunstorm that he did. Right about now I'm thinking that if that isn't FR's picture then Takara blatantly ripped off one of the most talented customizers out there. If he was on their payroll we would long since have been getting much cooler toys from them than what we get.
I may also be completely ignorant of some connection here too, which would come as no surprise. Regardless, the one I'm most interested in is SixShot anyways. Missed out on him as a kid and the e-bay prices are obscene. Encore is doable so I'm happy to see he's being released.
