Right about now I'm thinking that if that isn't FR's picture then Takara blatantly ripped off one of the most talented customizers out there. If he was on their payroll we would long since have been getting much cooler toys from them than what we get.
I may also be completely ignorant of some connection here too, which would come as no surprise. Regardless, the one I'm most interested in is SixShot anyways. Missed out on him as a kid and the e-bay prices are obscene. Encore is doable so I'm happy to see he's being released.

As for MP Sunstorm ...Well, the Rainmaker repaints were eminent..
Actually the only named rainmaker was Acid Storm, Sunstorm was a seeker I actually would have liked Acid Storm as a MP-11 repaint

It could be very likely that this is an e-Hobby exclusive in Japan (only preorders we've seen so far are for Malaysia) or even just an Asia only exclusive (no release for Japan). So who knows how many they're making or they may produce only as many as there are orders for said item.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

No the listing says there are no images by Takara yet. The store included that image, falsely labelled as Hasbro Sunstorm, as a reference to what the final product may look like.
T-Macksimus wrote:How many folks do you think are going to pre-order this and then see the official photo from TakaraTomy and say "WTF??" and cancel their pre-orders? That answer would be...All of them!
As I said above, Takara's is going to have to look significantly better or significantly different for me to desire to purchase it.Powered Convoy wrote:Plus I'm sure Sunstorm is being done in an effort to kill any future sales of iGear's version.
No contest. If I wanted a G1 Sixshot I wouldn't have sold mine eight years ago.Autobot032 wrote:Though, when the 3rd party one comes out from Mastermind Creations, I can't imagine it'll be much cheaper...so... I guess the question is, at that point, which one will you choose?
I'd probably go with MC's. It's rather posable. Plus I kinda like the updated look on it.

That photo is going to cause a LOT of confusion. I might be interested in a Takara MP Sunstorm if it featured cool 'burning' damage as the photo shows or otherwise significantly differs from iGear's PP03S Storm, which I had already planned to purchase and like the looks of.
I wish Takara and Hasbro would make up their minds on which way the Decepticon logos should be oriented on the wings, I hate that my MP Starscream and Skywarp don't match. As I said above, Takara's is going to have to look significantly better or significantly different for me to desire to purchase it.Powered Convoy wrote:Plus I'm sure Sunstorm is being done in an effort to kill any future sales of iGear's version.

But per usual, it's going to be more than just a 'reissue', there's some little knicks and knacks that may draw in collectors new and old.

That's got to be a mistake for Sixshot. No way that thing costs that much.
Makes me glad I bought complete and mint G1 version a few years back for $27.

Since you have Sixshot on hand, care to size him up with a current Masterpiece? Grimlock or similar size will do.
