Hello fandom! I came across this thread and decided to put this idea I had on here. This is a neo-G1 fan fiction story by me. The characters are mostly based off of the toys featured in Classics, Henkei, Universe, Generations, United, and Reveal the Shield's classics, with a hint of movieverse influence. Some of the characters are completely new or are from post-G1 continuities. I may change the personalities or the way the characters are presented, because I am simply being creative and telling my interpretation. There will be clues to unanswered questions hidden throughout the story, but you will only find them if your mind catches them.
I will start off with an introduction narrative. It might sound a little cliched or overdone in the Transformers universe, but it works. Here we go:

Introduction/Prologue

After years of incessant war and destruction, our planet was left a ravaged yet peaceful place. The Decepticons were ultimately defeated, and we were eventually able to obtain a state of peace and harmony. We no longer identified ourselves under an established faction, and functioned as a normal society...until one fateful day.
One of our citizens who was suspicious of the former tyrant Galvatron decided to "silently" murder the former Decepticon leader, hoping to eradicate any Decepticon uprisings from Cybertron. Unfortunately, Galvatron's former close minions became suspicious of his absence, and eventually discovered his corpse. These former powerful Decepticon soldiers then declared the Autobots traitors to the Transformers race, claiming they wished to rule the planet and enslave the former Decepticons, and proceeded to establish the Decepticon Empire of Cybertron. We were once again under an era of oppresion, and the Autobots hoped that proving their obedience would persuade the Decepticons to loosen our bindings and return to peace. This was uneffective, especially when one of our own betrayed us to be employed by the new tyrant to accomplish a most horrid task. One by one, former Autobots were turned against their former brothers and sisters, brainwashed into believing we were a force of evil. We desired to bring the killer of Galvatron to justice, but he left little evidence and was presumed to have fled in fear.
I then brought myself to recruit a force of members in which I was certain I could trust.
I am Optimus Prime, and I will never cease my mission until all are one. This is the story of the Transformers race.

Chapter 1

The Decepticon ruler sat on his throne in the shadows. He was enjoying the feeling of being the alpha-bot once again. He fixed his elaborate crown on his head. He felt proud of his workers who searched far and wide undercover over Cybertron and Earth for the rare and precious materials it was crafted of. The smug leader began to daydream of the future he hoped awaited him, and relaxed; slouching back in his hand-crafted seat. He was suddenly interrupted by a familiar voice.
"Sir, the one you requested has arrived"
The tyrant became consious again. "Oh, yes Cyclonus! You may bring him in."
The small figure walked quietly into the room, and two guard secured the great doors behind him. The lair was very dark, and the former Autobot hero squinted his optics. He saw the great throne before him; the tall leader looking down upon him. The small bot noticed two slightly smaller thrones on either side, and on each sat a figure with similar features to the one situated in the middle.
"You have requested my services, I hope?", said the eager bot.
"Yes, your work with the Autobot army impressed me, and I hear you wish to defect from that horrid rebellion."
"That is correct. I believe I am able to fulfill the task at hand with my recent discoveries and my experience."
"You strongly believe you can rebuild and revive our fallen hero?"
"With all of my spark I do, Excellency."
"Very well. I shall send you back to the Autobots, where you shall pledge loyalty to them and gather valuble information. I will summon you when your skills are needed. You are dismissed."
The small Autobot bowed. "I pledge my spark to you, Your Excellency. If I fail you I am prepared to face the consequences." He turned and proceeded to leave.
"WAIT!", exclaimed the emperor. "You shall bear a new name as a Decepticon. To us, you will now be called...Scalpel."
The bot nodded and left the lair.
