I've just got an ROTF Scattorshot off eBay, but when he arrived one of his hands was completely seized. It's not too bad as it's stuck in robot mode, but looks kind of stupid in vehicle mode.
I've tried moving it, but all i've done is give the guy a stress line on the hand. I know I can fix this with a hair dryer, but what is the best way to fix the seized joint? I've never done anything like this before, and I don't like the idea of breaking the figure.

I'm no expert but I had a ROTF deluxe Sideswipe that had a seized hand, one day it wasn't seized anymore. So waiting a bit might yield results. Heating might make the plastic more malleable, at the cost of expanding it. Cooling it will make it more brittle but shrink it. I assume the hand is on a rivet right? Maybe alternating cooling and heating will work the the hand and the arm apart. I just caution not heating or cooling the plastic to extreme temperatures. Also don't apply too much pressure to the part of course because it might break.

Thanks. I heated it up a little and added a little amount of force, and it soon came loose. I don't suppose having the hand seized was too big a deal, I just wanted to be able to transform it properly before I did my video review of it.
