I really like the idea of repainting the Generations mold into Overload... If hasbro doesn't, I will. Its a great mold I don't use as Prime.

I hope these guys are Generations figures, but with the line on hold/ cancelled/ whatever I'm really not sure. I hope its Rook the news reporter rather than Jhiaxus assistant. The other sound pretty awesome as well!

I was thinking our old friend Sunstreaker may be getting the boxset treatment in the way the Seekers, Coneheads and Autobot 'Specialists' had recently, but as mentioned earlier in this thread, this is Hasbro behind the trademarks and not Takara, but hey, you never know...!

I could see Sunstreaker, Sideswipe and Red Alert as an 'Autobot Espionage*' boxset! [citation needed]

I bet Overload (Overlord?) will be a Voyager. Maybe a retool of Blitzwing/Doubledealer. Hopefully one that's fixed the quality problem. I'd like a new mold but I honestly cant imagine why when that one would probably do.

Of course, I could be more cynical than I should be and they want to make an awesome IDW version of Overlord.

Not Overlord, sorry. I don't think Hasbro can even claim that name if the alternate name "Gigatron" is any indication. With that, I give you G1 Overload:

Oh I'm familiar with the G1 overload. I'm just formig a theory based on the assumption that these are for generations toys. I would (optimistically) think that they would be sooner trying to follow the trend of linking toyline with IDW if that is the case. All that said it would be more logical then to think they would use a similar name (overload) for an influential character like Overlord (precedent: trailcutter) rather than use then name for a forgettable character that will be less likely to make sales.

There are cons to this idea: crosscut, tankor, scoop are examples of figures that seem to have been placed in the comic to advertise the toys.
Acid storm and gears have nearly no presence.

This would lend evidence to the idea that Overload could be a Prime repaint and thus be the G1 character.

However, that is not certain. Therefore, in the future please don't reject my idea with certainty without actual evidence. It looks juvenile.

His bio would be of greater interest to me, since Universe (2008) Overload was a new body for Armada Overload and had bio stating that he was on a mission to uncover his enigmatic past (since he literally just appeared out of nowhere without question in the Armada cartoon). His past is such an enigma that even he doesn't know it! If he got a new toy with a bio set after his Universe one, his quest to uncover his past would continue even further!

Yeah, I'd like to see a new version of Armada Overload. That would be cool.
