I guess what I'm most disappointed with out of this newer stuff are the Robot Heroes.

I've never been into BW, so I don't know how well those molds represent those characters.
But the G1's just don't do it for me...
I'm assuming (with confidence) that who ever did this sculpts was not the same person who did the first waves of the G1's.

I wonder why they didn't stick with the same person...

These new ones just look sloppy, and don't have the same style.
I think part of it is the heads of the new ones are too big.

They just painted the side fins black. Hell, I'd be happy if they just left them off.

I know I could just do that myself, but I gotta agree with Skowl, the ever growing lack of initiative on Hasbros end is very discouraging.

No, Sideswipe's head really is retooled. See for yourself.

Now these are TRUE Transformers toys! I'm telling you that you won't see that "Animated" $#!+ in my collection but you will see these!

I'm actually pretty excited about some of the repaints; it gives me a chance to get some of the molds from the Cybertron line that I missed out on.

Finally an original mold for Ironhide! 25th Prime looks promising. I just wish Silverbolt is part of a combiner.

Well, since Hasbro is holding off on combiners until they can be "done right", I hope they give the Constructicons (all 6) and Devastator justice.

I spoke specifically about G1, yet you turned it around to make it look like I don't like anything because I don't like G1. Since when does Transformers = Generation 1 only? Either you're saying this just to push my buttons, or you're just incredibly ignorant of the franchise's rich history beyond Generation 1. Either way, you're a perfect example of what is wrong with the fans today.

yeah, but does it really matter when we're in the middle of a golden age where we're getting new movies, new comics, and a new animated series?

Maybe you're the sort of G1-resenting chip-on-the-shoulder Beast Wars fan(and I say that with nothing but affection), but fear not, the G1-fanwank resurgence will come, bore us to tears with repaints and go, thus paving the way for a fanwanking Beast Wars renaissance the like of which exceeds the wildest dreams of even the most fervent of Beastie zealots.

If you're hoping for a return to epic continuity sagas that drag on for years, well, that's not particularly my thing, but the fanbase has expanded so much in recent years that there's still plenty of scope for that in the years to come.

G1 is the original and everything after it that is Transformers will be G1 flavored.

Though, I must say I hate it when people act like G1 is the only part of Transformers that ever existed.

The 25th anniversary Prime looks promising but, and I mean BUT, this might be sold conforming to product safety standards meaning, the stacks will be short and Roller's launcher will be non functional.

So I stand corrected about SideSwipes head, and am relativily happy about that.

However police and family have me in a mood tonight, so I'm gonna ask, why is it everytime theres a Hasbro convention display, somethings always F___ed up!?!

I can't remember a single convention display that didn't have at least 2 errors. I know these are set up in a rush, but I also know anyone reading this could get it right.

Profread your sales displays Hasbro, I know it's only millions on the line, but still every penny counts right!?!

(hell, I just double checked this post, it took 2 seconds, and now I seem less dumb)

What does the red X accross the face mean? Dirge and Springer each have one.

I think this is the first time in 5 years of collecting where I won't be playing catchup - I'll be getting these as soon as I see them.

This could be an expensive year......
