Takara Tomy Mall has a new campaign on its site. Every month, they will have an exclusive double sided collector card featuring a G1 character in their G1 toy art and his/her tech specs. This month's character is Arcee and here are the conditions on getting the limited card:

Spend over 3,000 yen between April 10, 2015 (Friday) 13:00 - April 30 (Thursday) 13 o'clock

While supplies last

Stay tuned for future lineup announced!

There is also a mention of an album available when over 6,000 yen is spent. Upcoming cards seem to be Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Rodimus Convoy, Fort Max and Predaking.

Damn! I'm such a sucker for trading cards but I don't think I'll be spending 50 clams just to get one of these.

Which curreny are you referring to? Turns out its just 25$ US, so buying any deluxe just about gets you a card.

Are those cards based on the original bio cards included with Japanese G1 figures? :shock:

I'm pretty sure. This is what google translate says:

Alrighty then. My mistake there. I still couldn't justify continuous spending like that right now. Six weeks til grad schools over. (*sigh* Let the job search continue!)

Last month was the beginning of a Takara Tomy Mall campaign featuring collector cards of G1 characters. While last month was Arcee, this month features Optimus Prime /Convoy.
From May 1st to May 31st, 2015, you can obtain this card with a purchase of Transformers product totaling 3,000 yen or more at TakaraTomy Mall, while supply last.

Beginning in April of 2015 Takara Tomy Mall started a campaign featuring collector cards of G1 characters. They announced that the next character to be featured in their G1 Card Campaign will be the one and only Megatron!
This month, from July 1st to July 31st, 2015, you can obtain this card with a purchase of Transformers product totaling 3,000 yen or more at TakaraTomy Mall, while supply last.
