I knew it. At least I actually like the movie designs more thanks to the action in the recent trailers. But my God, this makes Movie Frenzy look awesome! This looks worse than a third grader's drawing of Optimus Prime. Okay maybe the Movie won't put Transformers out of it's misery but this cartoon sure as hell will.

On the one hand:

It looks like G1-style Prime. Possibly yet ANOTHER G1 reboot? And also possibly a new toyline to resemble Classics.

On the other hand:

That art style makes me want to VOMIT. HARD. It does NOT look good for Transformers. >.<

I...I don't even know what to say. I am so utterly pissed by this F***'ing garbage, i don't even believe my eyes. This really could be the end of the Transformers. Unless the writing is ultra, super, omega spectacular, i won't even bother with this.

Man, I wish Hasbro could tap into me as a Transformers consultant. My sole job to say to their creative team is "WTF?" That would be the only part of my job. They'd show me something. I'd go "WTF?" and then they go back to the drawing board. When they show me something good, I'll give them an Energon Goodie and go back to saying WTF to the other designs.

hehehe, can you please take that job soon before the whole franchise goes extinct. also with saying WTF you should club them in the head like a baby seal, throw the bloody carcas down a chute then bring the next batch of designers in for either the energon treat or massive head beat!!

Just out of curiosity, why does everyone have to be so hard on this show before we've even seen an episode. Come on guys. this is just as bad as the movie griping.

shoot me... shoot me now...

"joins the kid-friendly lineup"
So we're gonna have some really lame plot and dialog

"new twist on the original series"
I don't even want to speculate

"featuring everyday heroes who do good deeds that triumph over evil"
Something tells me that not only is the animation crappy, but the series is going to drastically take away from the Autobot and Decepticon war to focus on humans doing good deeds while the TF's are kinda taking a backseat in supporting roles... LAME!

Why am I asking myself, if big creators try to demolish the masterworks they built???

First, Lucas tried it in Episode 1... Than, after a middle-leveled ep.2,(that made a lot of Expanded Universe stories into "what if" stories) he tried to demolish it with Clone Wars cartoon... Then he made a good connecting movie, that even made some of the facts of the original movies into nothing...

Now, this...

It looks like the animation studio is too cheap to use anything except MS Paint, infact I could draw a better Prime than that using MS Paint, blindfolded and with the moniter off
At least the figures should look better as there is no way the figure can look like that and still transform(too many curves and extremely disproportional).

Hey, at least Prime has a face plate and not lips! :P

Its actually kinda hard to wrap my head around this. I mean, TFs have *always* been cartoons on TV, and yet this new series looks the most cartoony yet! :???:

Seriously, though, lets put emotion aside and think about this somewhat logically: Many of us did not / do not like the movie designs, but since Hasbro can't perfectly mimic the movie designs, the toys have been pretty cool, all things considered. So, although "cartoony" would be easier to turn into a toy than the hyper detail of the movie, I still don't see Hasbro being able to truly duplicate, in toy form, the smooth "every-surface-blending together" look of this cartoon, while still having figures that can transform. :-? They could duplicate this look with the Robot Heroes, 3" titaniums, and the other lines of non-transforming TFs that they have, but I think the very act of being able to transform will bring about figures that still look like TFs. They may screw up the faces again, like the movie toys, but I think the bodies will still fit in right next to Cybertron and Energon figures. ;)^

Well, that's my opinion, anyway. ;)

What in all the Nine Realms is happening to Transformers?

Wow...I just got smacked down by a super-phat dose of 180 degree perspective, cause baby I just suddenly developed a new appreciation for Bay's version of Optimus!

dude its not griping, it just looks really really bad and ugly!! first impressions are usually tried and true. I am sorry but please this design style, well.... the artists need to either go back to the art institute or have their hands chopped off! like I said it works for qwerky shows like The grim adventures of billy and mandy............hell no... not for TFs

Wow. That's...craptastic. This is what you get for whining about the anime!

But, I guess there's still hope. If the show is done well and there's some good character designs to even things out, I guess I could live with it.

From the looks of this I'm guessing that the accompanying line of figures will either:

a) Look like figures from the past few lines but with even less detail, wonky proportions, and sharp angles (like Sigma Six)

-or-

b) Be made out of magnetic building blocks
