Well, the storyline we've heard about sounds horrible, and I'm not a fan of the animation-style; but I'm still willing to give the cartoon a try.

However it's the toys that get me. I really was digging Bumblebee's looks from the poster(and still here; am I the only one who noticed that it looks like his Cybertronian form seems to be very similar to his G1 Cybertronian form?); and even some of the other bots. But after seeing the toys at Comiccon.... I don't know, the bot modes look Ok, but the alt modes are just Playskool material, I'm sorry.

With hearing the classic transformation sound, this is one series that I really WANT to like, but that they've just screwed with bad toys.

the point of shows and everything is really to get you interested in the toys, like cybertron admintngly terrible series but at least optimus was a cool toy i cant even enjoy the toys of this series

Thats cool, and hey this series may have its moments, but still you have to admit alot of it just isn't right.

I agree with alot of you RID and The Unicron Trilogy where not very good. But after 20+ years of support and paying top dollar, I'm gonna speak up and ask for BETTER, and not just different!

Maybe these stories will rock, and I hope they do, but as far as image quality and design go, this is realy a hell of alot more than a step backwards to me.

That was a pretty cool clip. What were the Autobots doing anyway? I couldn't really hear most of it, but I'm not sure about some of the voices I did hear. I am really starting to get used to the animation style so things are really looking up as far as I'm concerned. Looking forward to seeing more from Animated.

I think it looks a lot more interesting than Armada/Energon/Cybertron were. Plus, I've come to think that the designs look pretty cool. It's a nice alternate take on a property that's proving that it could have a longevity similar to franchises such as Batman, Superman, or Spider-Man. (And how many versions of those characters have we seen?) Sure, not everyone will love every variation of the Transformers to turn up, but you can't please all the people all the time.

Audio is barely there, but Prime does sound different, very different.

Nice to hear the original transforming sound, and Prowl is great, I dont care what anyone else says. Bulkhead and Bumblebee kind of remind me of Crumplezone and Ransack from the Cybertron series...

QFT. I agree totally. Too bad they don't have those two appearing in the new show, they were one of the better parts of that garbage series Cybertron. Hopefully BB and Bulkhead have a similar relationship in the new series.

Also why do so many people like g1 just becuase its the first it dosent always have to be the f~ing same thing.I like the animation style it is my favorite type of animation. I have a reason why you people might like g1 so much when you watched it you were young and naive and know you watch it and your old and senaile lol inside joke. Well any way cant wait for it i just hope some one can get better aduio with all those a~holes talking. After reading the rest of the posts in this thread I don't know what to say. Oh yes I do, Raaaaaaallllppphhh! 90% of you like it!?!!!!??? Classics would have and hopefully will be the way to go, but won't. This is worse than anything in the movie could have approached. I got used to the idea of the movie figs after a couple months. This cartoon is absolutely the worst thing I have seen since Gobots! :BOOM:

I am not liking Seshomaru Prime, not one bit....not the voice, not the mouth, not the weapon (energy axe & big-ass rifle, not solid extend-o axe), not the alt mode, cybertronian or otherwise....

Albeit, RID Prime & Cybertron Prime are 2 of my favorite incarnations of Prime, the only reason why he is a firetruck is because for some reason people think the Autobot commander should be out doing charity work related to his alt. mode when the D-cons aren't around instead of sitting in a war room making battle plans, monitoring recon stats, & frankly trying his hardest to keep the upper hand on the D-cons before they get the upper hand on the Autobots.

That is one thing I really miss from G1 & Beast Wars....they actually acted like the militaries that they were.

....other than that I liked it.

The G1 designs where great but that animation was rushed and full of errors. However G1 and GIJoe broke many molds in character desing and presentation alone.

I for one love G1, I grew up with it, it is the basis of every series since, but I also agree, it's day is done.

Still as an "old senaile" fan, I have to say after 30+ years of watching all types of animation, I can tell you I have a broad frame of reference, and can tell you whats good and what is some pokemon ripoff spoof crap. Thats all american anime is, a take on the bottem of the barrel of an ancient art.

And before you laugh and sniker all I can say is make it aroud the block once or twice before you start telling me whats on the other side around the corner Little Jack!

Demand Better, and oh it's out there, or get ready because it'll only get worse. This style of animation, although it does have its merits(I liked Teen Titans), realy is nothing more than effortless quick slung hash.

The old thing is and inside joke that me and my friends made up with prime and megatron on paint ill show you sometime its not a direct insult but mmm i like the old gi joe better than sigma6. But i like this one better than g1 just becuase i have always found it boring. I also didnt like g1 for lack of acuracy and poseability. But i still like the new animated look becuase is blocky yet sleek and it just fits my taste.
