I try to scan them on the price checker. They won't scan.
I take the tag for the Cybertron scouts to the register with me so the cashier can scan that.
Nope. They come up looking like they're "on recall." Stupid cashier sez "You don't know why they're on recall, they might ccatch on fire or something."
So I explain to her what's really going on. That they're marked like that because it's before the release date, and someone put them on the shelf anyways...
What response do I get?
"Well, why'd you try to buy them if you knew it was before the release date?"
I just walked away, speechless and empty-handed, feeling like Charlie Brown after Lucy pulls the football away.
So, that's why I have no Real Gears. And also why I'm gonna try to avoid that Wal Mart on the future.
Un freakin' believable.

I'm joking But seriously, they're just toys. Wait till the 2nd. Wont kill you, right?

I just feel like I got jerked around is all. It won't kill me to wait... Mainly what I resent is being treated like an idiot by the cashier, though the fact that someone put the damn thiings out early in the first place and then I ouldn't buy the damn things is just frustrating.
I guesss it's mostly just jealousy. It seems like everyone else has Bonecrusher and Wreckage and Jazz and some people even have Optimus... What do I have? Protoforms. So I needed to vent. And I figured, what the hell, I'll start a thread for it so people who've had the same problem can bitch about it with me.
I really think my frustration here is justified. And I was under the impression that if there was anywhere to talk about it, then this would be the place. Do I have other problems in my life? Yes. Do I think there's any earthly reason for me to post them here? Not really, no. So I...
I'm ranting. This is a rant, right here. Okay, I'm done now. I'll be elsewhere for a bit.

I got a laugh picturing the guy in your avatar snuggled up with Slumblebee and Softimus Prime.

At the Target I work at, they decided not to release the Deluxe movie figures early because they were worried about this exact problem. Your dissatisfaction about not being able to buy a little toy until next week is not worth the money they'd have to pay. They're not doing it to irk you, and the cashiers are just doing their jobs. Besides, it's only until next friggin' week. Are you going to lose your $10 before then?

THe street dates ere lifted on some figures however. thats why people are griping, because stores arent getting the message or just being lazy.

And seeing as the walmart stocked the figures on the shelf it is there fault and he should have been allowed to buy them. I would have complained to the manager, and if that didnt work I would have asked for the district mangers phone # and threatened to call corporate.. even though it is in fact just a toy.. IT IS THE PRINCEAPALTY OF IT SMOKEY.....

It was already opened so I peeked in and pulled out Starscream and Ironhide. They wouldn't scan at the price checker, and I figured they probably wouldn't ring but I tried anyway. Took em to the register and the "do not sell" came up. I got a similar response tfrom the clerk saying there must be a recall. So she put em in a basket with a bunch of other wal mart crap and I just went on my way a little frustrated and upset.
