Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

I have FansProject's Menasor and nothing tops it for me, so Hasbro's is out. (Ugh.)
Optimus still looks bad. BAD. Zero interest in him and I see now that my money spent on ToyWorld's Orion was the right choice. (Probably my favorite Optimus mold, ever.)

I collect primes, so I'll pick this up but I've been waiting on a perfect g1 incarnation to come out (that isn't a masterpiece or third party) and it looks like that just isn't going to happen. Oh well, still looks good. Motormaster looks amazing.
EDIT: didnt mean to post right after the other. sorry. didnt think.

Technically, Tomy didn't "buy out" Takara. The companies merged on equal terms.

Though Tomy does hold the majority of shares, it never had major repercussions for the Transformers brands aside from company name changes.

That's reassuring. I'd hate to see Takara absorbed into nothingness.

Not much has changed really: The Takara side is for Japan only, while Tomy deals with international releases. That's reflected in the names used: "TakaraTomy" is used within Japan only, while the more recognized "Tomy" used internationally.

Yes, because there hasn't been any catering to G1 fans in the past year. (MP Wheeljack, MP Prowl, MP Soundwave, Evasion Optimus, Metroplex, FOC Thundercracker/Skywarp, Springer, Blitzwing, Skids, Jetfire, Hoist/Trainbreaker, Arcee!!!, SDCC Dinobots, etc.)
Some people are so needy

I counted FoC/IDW and its Japanese counterpart as the same toy. But if you count them separate, that's even MORE Thundercracker. Plus there's some non-Generations Thundercrackers from the same time period, like Hasbro's version of Masterpiece Thundercracker.
I think it's fair to say Skywarp's probably jealous.
