You'd be waiting a long time I think. TakaraTomy, like Hasbro, seems to have put the Generations line on hold.

Takara hsn't made a peep about further Generations releases since their release of Armada Starscream. Hasbro's the one who's kept on going with keeping the line alive, while Takara seems to have not only stopped for now but also skipped a bunch of figures that Hasbro put out.Nemesis Destron wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Nemesis Destron wrote:fenrir72 wrote:As for the color apps, maybe wait for the Tomy version to correct it?

Are you freakin' serious...is that just a speculation or pretty close to fact? If it is close to fact I don't know if I can discipline myself to wait while this is on the shelf...crap!!

So Wal*Mart, K-Mart, Target, Big Bad Toy Store, TFSource, Robot Kingdom, Amazon, and countless other retailers/online retailers are out of the question? >:oP

I never said anything about online retailers like BBTS.
But if you think Target, Walmart, Meijer, etc are getting these you are mistaken. You really think they are going to make shelf space for an obscure figure that no one but fanboys are going to buy? Let alone the fact this is the only figure in this size class? If so, you need a lesson in simple economics.

Stores give a flying flip on who the character actually is and who'd want to buy him. All they see is "Hm, new product, gotta sell that" and worry about the consequences later (i.e. having to put him on sale). Look at what happened to Ultimate Predaking. Besides, I suspect that the individual stores have to have such and such product on the shelves by order of the main offices.
I have to say it, but as a whole you're giving the stores way too much credit when it comes to their knowledge.
JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Generations is on hiatus because Hasbro planned it that way, period. They are soliciting Generations releases to stores, yes, but on the schedule they'll appear in stores in Fall, after the initial movie hype has subsided. At least that seems to be their plan.
And that soliciting to stores? Goes the same basic way as in-store advertising, only with Hasbro as seller, and the stores as their customers. Should the movie product sell well, the stores will think "Hmmm, gimme more!" and be more eager to sell Generations on the side. Has the same overall brand name, should sell just as well right? Basic economics, it's all about presentation, and worry about the future later.
On second thought, let me give you the tl;dr version:
Stores are stupid

Yes, and how many of these "preorders" for Generations figures have be cancelled so far this year alone? You cannot use a preorder from an online retailer as an official release date.

JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Ok, if you know for sure that Generations is definitely canceled, then riddle us this:
How come we got to see Generations figures on display at Toy Fair 2014, including Windblade, Jhiaxus and Nightbeat, alongside AoE product?
As for Windblade's official toy pics missing:
from TFWiki.net.
And as a reminder, the figures originally planned for release in Q2 have been postponed, not canceled altogether. They will be released in future waves, possibly as so-called carry-overs, alongside other newer figures. That was Hasbro's official word on the matter.
