Told ya you would like him so much more then Bumblebee.
Good review.
If I could add something -
I glued nearly all of mine together. He is extremely sturdy this way and I think it definitely pays off.
I also sanded down the ball joints on the fists and swords so that switching them back and forth won't result in breakage like Peaugh's video accident. I just took modeling sandpaper and twisted the widest part of the ball joint around in it. It makes the ball overall slightly narrower but still allows it to move and be changed quickly. It did not loosen the joints to the point where they won't hold a pose. Still very good, but with free movement now. It's just a try it and see if you need to sand more deal. I like this since it gives him a movie 1 and movie 2 look. But then you can always take the armor panels off the arms and make him look more DOTM by having the sword
and fist.
You hit on the fingers. What I ended up doing was sanding the ends of the fingers where the posts go through so that the posts would stick out slightly past. You sand the
outside of the finger this way. The result is that that connecting post slides through like before but now has a little bit of extra poking through. Now you warm up a knife blade and press it to the post. This will slightly melt the end of the post. If you do it right, you can mushroom the post head out a bit and it makes it so that the post end is now fatter then it was before and the fingers cannot slide off. So you retain full pose-ability of the fists and fingers but no longer have to worry about losing the fingers in the process.
These few things really seem to make him that much better. Glue to make him sturdy and some slight modding of parts.
Caution on his chrome chest pieces made from the truck sun visor though! Scrape the chrome plating off the post that slides into his chest. If you don't, the connection is so tight that you risk breaking the post like I did. Luckily BBTS sent me a replacement part.
Another tip - The Battle Blades voyager Prime's matrix sizes out just about right with this guy. Painted mine silver and Prime can hold it and he looks great with it.
