My Decepticon mercenary is finished. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the second planned character, untill the Cybertron release of Bendy Prime hits stores.
Thanks. The visor's static. I'm working up a character bio for him, and part of it is that no one ever know's what he's thinking, and his expressionless visor adds to the mystery.
Cool. This mold looks WAY better in these colors. Somehow I think that he could really use another darker brown for specific parts on the vehicle to break it up a little. I had that problem with the original bot aswell, it looks a bit boring in just one color (even if it has camo right now)
just a sugestion:
If you really want to make the visor part of his character, give it a little extra. Maybe you can give it deatails bu carving details in it or give him a transparant sticker with tech details. I think that might really add to the character
Just realized he reminds me of this one old gobot I have. One of my favorite of all the Former KO line. Too bad mine broke in half though. If I could figure out his name I'd gladly buy another.
Gorgeous stuff! The work you've done on the knife is really neat, and the paintjob makes the mould a must-have! I'd have to agree with Rem on the visor front, though. Could do with having a couple of panel lines or something scribed into it to break up the large flat space.
Actually, I wanted the visor to be featureless, and I'm happy with how it came out. The most I'd do to it is add a couple of small horizontal panels to the sides, near the back.
I do agree that it could use more contrast between the OD and the brown. I thought the brown would be darker than that. It's my first attempt at painting camo, and I'm still really pleased with it.
I think you should paint those blue minicon pegs, or dye them or something. looks very nice now though.
why do the missiles on his legs look kind of speckley? I don't actually know what shape the missiles are in there. were you not able to get a brush in there to do as good a job on the shoulder missiles? or are they actually shaped like little clusters of tinier missiles?
"Battery" makes me think of that song... who's it by... Megadeth? fight fire with fire.
