I think they are neat little figures, but the Alt mode is unconvincing, looks like a block of robot kibble held together with a big plate. Even one of their heads is visible. I prefer the look of the TFClub version, and the size. With scout class Rumble and Frenzy coming out, I do not want my reflector to be smaller than Rumble!

Most of us are there with you, but toys like these will always be for us. The Beast Wars/Anime generation will have their time to deal with noobs - it's the cycle of generation gap.
In terms of price; it's practically a perspective of affordability and demand to each collector; almost like Peaugh's review on United Tracks. Are a couple staged pictures enough to warrant a preorder purchase - you know, buying without a review? It's up to the ones shelling out the cheddah.
I've said this before, I know, but it deserves reiteration... It took work to get the original Reflector. I bought the toy that came with the flyer for the mail-in with money saved - my first memory of saving. I cut the points from the box. I filled in the flyer info. I sealed the envelope, licked the stamp, and put the flag up on the mailbox. I waited for it, opened him up, and had a blast with him because I earned it. Those are some priceless memories, and this captures those moments. More-so than just a repaint of a toy that doesn't even pay homage to a microscope. Perfect Effect's timing in being the first to market with the combiner, perfect size for limited shelf space, and within my current price range make up a perfect storm of awesomesauce for this old man child. I hope Perfect Effect packs in a mail-in flyer as a nod to us grizzled vets. As is, this set is pure joy, and I thank PE for this effort.

Easy fix. Get the Perfect effect Frenzy and Rumble. They are the proper scale if you are shooting for size. They go great with deluxe Soundwave and classics Ravage. The upcoming scout size rumble and frenzy look like crap anyways.
