Colour me mildly interested. I have no connection with the character, but a Prime turning into a lion is awesome. Wish they'd done it for BW instead of the somewhat questionable gorilla.

The original had obstructive gimmicks and a very flat head to necessitate transformation. Proportions on the thing were just god-awful. Robot Masters version was much, much better...at the sacrifice of size.
Check out the Seibertron gallery of it. You get more angles of the figure and it shows it off much better I'm sure.Delta Magnus wrote:Not gonna lie, looking at the pics on TFWiki, the Robot Masters toy looks kinda derpy, especially in lion mode. I do see what you mean about the "big" toy's proportions, but...I've seen worse.

Oh darn, that beast mode is worse than I thought...
Yeesh.
On that note, are the Robot Master Seekers any good?

Yep, that's the truth. That's why I loved the RM versions so much (especially the exclusive DVD version with the metallic paint job; that thing looks incredible on the shelf in bot mode).
I'm in for this thing either way though, in all likelihood just because I wanna encourage 3rd party Beast Wars stuff, even if some of it isn't that great. I do hope they make some improvements to this design though, because that beast mode really is bugging me a lot (of course, a killer bot mode remedies that as that's how I'll likely be displaying him anyway, but if they both look like crap, then ugh).

Same here; I want more Beast Wars. At the top of my list are voyager Cybertronian Big Convoy, Lio Convoy, and Optimus Primal. Of course, they could also make an accurate Blackarachnia.

if he ends up looking like the IDW lio convoy then im totally down for this.
funny how things coincide eh? what with TFCC's lio convoy being announced recently.

Gonna have to pass... was assuming this would be able to fit into my classics collection.
Really a shame too... such a beautiful looking piece of work here.

i was just about to say that. he's probably pretty close in size to the original lio convoy.Delta Magnus wrote:Holy hell that is awesome and I want it.
(Also not sure if it's MP scale or Classics scale. Lio Convoy/Leo Prime is a really big guy IIRC)
