I still think these things need balljointed waists and upper torsos rather than a simple peg waist. But maybe I'm spoilt on things like Figmas with balljointed and universal jointed everything.

He looks like one of those old secret service guys or the men in black. All he's missing is the shades and the ear piece. Perhaps an Agent Simmons repaint is in the works. 8-)

Looking good! I kinda hope they overhaul the articulation a bit though- I watched Vangelus' video of the Desolataur prototype and it looked kinda limited.

Good news. The latest revision of their molds adds an ab crunch!

I found a nice image comparing the new painted Boneyard figure to the old painted Desolataur figure.

The new Kickstarter should begin in September. It will have 10 initial figures. These include Boneyard and its 3 recolors, Jetstrike and its 3 recolors, as well as unpainted versions of both figures for customizers.

Play With This Too posted the prototype images of Jetstrike (and his recolors) on their web site. They did say they are changing a few things to make the proportions better. I also note that the joints on this prototype are a little loose, which will be fixed. This is only prototype materials.

The toy will come with 3 head options, 2 sets of hands, helmet, wings, as well as arm cannons and maces that come apart into 5mm peg and port pieces to make into different configurations.

Kickstarter will begin in September. This figure will be available in 4 different colors sets as well as unpainted for customizers to come up with their own designs.

Is it that the heads are a touch big? I'm trying to figure out how the proportions don't look quite right. I am in complete agreement, but just cannot put my finger on how...

I think it's a combination of things. I feel the shoulders are a bit wide, torso is very short & the Grimlock one has a long neck. I think the longer necks make the head look bigger. These guys are all very squat figures. They remind me of the dwarves from LotR, haha. It works for the monster pretenders, not the humanoid ones.

Yeah, that makes sense. It's also, probably, why the Diablo homage looked so good to me. Monster proportions are much more forgiving than human based one, I agree!

I took a little time to look these over again and from what i can tell the shoulders sit way! too low .

As tall as the figure is it looks very stocky and squat , the thighs and shins should be a touch longer and yes the head is a shade too big .

Your shoulders should not be coming out of your rib cage .

It looks good for what it is. Trouble is its an action figure aimed at TF fans. I dont see any action figure doing much better than TFCC "OLd Snake" did with the fandom. I would really like to see the talent at PWTT axe the pretenders and start working on transformable robots.

Maybe the novelty has passed, but the more I think about it, the less I'm into these. It's just weird that they would go with MOTU styled bodies for these, when TFs are a Hasbro product, and I would expect slimmer GI Joe styled bodies, or, more to the point, Marvel Legends styled bodies. Is what it is, I guess, and I suppose MOTU bodies make sense given what Pretenders were initially competing against... but still, I can't shake the feeling these would be out of place amongst my Hasbro figures.

(DISCLAIMER: I pretty much only collect Transformers, Marvel Legends, and Star Wars 6" Black Series... basically all Hasbro...)

ML DCUC and the SWBS are the examples PWTT should be folowing if they want to hit the action figure sweet spot when it comes to proportions .

I do really like all the accessories and the figures detail , i just cant get behind the stumpy look , i mean BoneYard look more like Vintage MOTU than the new classics .

Infact he looks worse . It's just not todays standard IMO .

Here are some of the recolors of the figures which will be available as additional items in the Kickstarter which begins September 2015.

Wrecktifier is a "broken mirror" version of the heroic Boneyard.

Wastelander is... from the wasteland?

There will also be unpainted "customizer editions" of the figures for people to buy which are great for making your own characters.
