Thanatos, Bridge

Skyjack opened his data file. He went over the data. The idea that the planet was populated with carbon-based lifeforms came as a mild shock to him. He thought organics were only creatures of myth, the subject of scary stories about the depths of cybertron. However, the report showed no sign that the natives could pose a threat, as they were too busy warring amongst themselves. the geography of the planet was a mild mystery. It went from, cold, to hot, to cold again. all very intresting. He would have to read the rest of it later. He had a fight to watch.

The Skies of Polyhex

Turmoil arrived at Polyhex to find that there appeared to be a battle going on. He quickly recognized the two seekers. He transformed and flew towards them. He then saw a Transformer he did not recognize: Scattershot. Seeing this unknown firing on the seekers, he in turn fired a blast of energy at Scattershot.

Polyhex - Near Iacon and Nova Cronum Borders

As Bravo spouted his retort, Turbulence charged head on with his single drawn sonic blade. Rather than bring a swift end to this meeting of swords, the cobalt and bronze warrior attempted to forced a test of strength upon the minibot. The con could not fathom Bravo's bravado in light of the seekers obvious size and endurance.

"Your words are as hollow as the religious bobble your corrupt council gave to that ...Prime."

the last word came out as if a curse word. Though the transgressions that inspired this loathing was before his assembly, the former empty has reaped the harvest of its ill; being versed in Decepticon dogma could have helped too.

Still, with his armor showing the wear of battle and other Autobots near by, how long could Turbulence waste to placate his thirst for melee or banter manifesto?

I doubt that Bane would let a techno-scavanger like myself muddle through his systems unsupervised... another time perhaps. At least I'm not the fool Swindle is.

Ruins of Polyhex - Near border

Bravo was almost knocked flying when his blade met Turbulences, but he managed to find some footing and stay on his feet. That was about all he could do, as the heavy Seeker pushed him back easily. Don't panic Bravo. Optimus Prime wouldn't panic, so niether should you.
His legs aching, Bravo kept his blade crossed with Turbulences for a few astroseconds more, then slipped deliberately. The blades came down over his head as he rolled forward, between Turbulences legs, and sliced his blade at the back of the Seeker's right knee.

Shockwave's Tower - Hangar

Swindle was mildly surprised that he'd made it out to the hangar without being cut into a dozen pieces, but glad that his uncharacteristic bravado had seen him through. Good thing I was leaving anyway, incidents like that usually nessecitate changes of scenery.
He couldn't see any of his fellow Combaticons, and of the others due for tranfer, only Rampage was visible. Bludgeon seemed to have already left by whatever means he had. Swindle walked over to a well-serviced 8-man shuttle, and began to look it over, in preperation for a launch.

OOC: I'll have Swindle wait for Onslaught, as really he'd be the one ordering takeoff. But with the lack of activity on the Combaticon front, it's gonna feel kinda lonely in the shuttle.

Training Room

Blackguard returned to the former Arena, noting that things seemed to have broken up as he'd expected. No-one had met him on they way back from the medbay, so it seemed that the fight had ended on a civil note. Given Bane's temperment, that seemed unusual.
Blackguard rejoined his fellow Sweep Reforge. "How did things go?"

Strafe was already practically having a spark failure from the sheer amount of possibilities running through his processor increasing his already high levels of paranoia. Seeing Scattershot get into trouble with Thundercracker Strafe growled low and prepared to assist; however he saw Turmoil open fire on the already busy Scattershot. More than a little peeved Strafe, opened fire on the other mech. Flying to get between the enemy and his leader Strafe prepared to fight using his speed and hoping that he'd actually hit for once.

Strafe trusted the ground based mechs to provide cover fire but he was already thinking that this was not going to go well.

It had taken some time but when Shockwave finally released data regarding the mission to AC488, the truth hit Motormaster like a sledgehammer to forehead. While the infiltration had been mentioned earlier and the protocol had been hardwired into his memorybanks, the exact nature of the mission had not been clear to him before.

"What?! We are going to be hiding amongst weak carbon based fleshbags disguised as non-sentient primitive machines?" With his optics burning and face twisted into a hideous snarl, Motormaster couldn't avoid voicing his disappointment. "We better go to phase 5 fast... this ain't no warrior's work."

Turmoil ended his brief attack on Scattershot to dodge the fire from Strafe. He then turned to face his new adversary.

This was one of those times when Turmoil's condition came in handy. He unleashed a large blast of energy directly towards Strafe. He tried to aim the blast so that it would hit but his primary goal was simply to terrify the Autobot with a show of massive force that came seemingly out of nowhere.

'Well at least that worked' Strafe thought to himself as he found Turmoil's attention on him. Giving off a startled squalk Strafe shut off his engines and dropped like a stone underneath Turmoil's attack. 'Where the hell did that come from?!' Strafe though slightly panicky. Reignighting his engines Strafe pulled himself back up and opened fire of Turmoil once more.

Strafe was slightly worried but he wasn't going to let it deter him; after all he was paranoid all the time so a little more wasn't going to do him any harm.

Thanatos – Bridge

Blitzwing began to hum to himself as he watched the screens casually flipping the minor switches. He had all but completely ignored the Stunticons and his other boring teammates, keeping focus on the panel before him. Suddenly Blitz’s fingers froze as the information shockwave sent him came to his attention, backed by Motormaster’s whining. His optic visor flashed and an evil grin played across his face.

“No no you got it all wrong Motor, buddy. It just makes it more of a challenge to kill them. Whats the fun of just stepping on them when you can make a spy type game of it and get energon in the process. Besides I see they have ….. “water?” And I thought H2O was just a myth…… who knew.”

The triplechanger returned to his panel once more pressing a few more buttons. They were in airspace now and he wanted to be ready if they received the opportunity to shoot something.

**

Breakdown moaned in a pathetic way and let his forehead fall to the council before him. As the information finished and Motormaster’s words reached his auditories he mumbled …. “no , no , no” as his head rolled from side to side on the smooth metal. Spywork was not his favorite cup of energon, there was always the possibility of being discovered. Although he had learned to hide well due to his paranoia over the orns. But….. now Motormaster was mad and this did not bode well fro the other Stunticons.

Skywarp gave one last glance at Turbulance and Bravo then prepared to maneuver his squadron. Warp was about to take his whole formation with him and come up behind the autobots when his sensors picked up the weapons fire from Bluestreak eight warheads were heading for Thundercracker and Scattershot who were already engaged with their own areal contest. Turmoil had appeared practically out of nowhere only to be fired on by the Autobot Strafe. Warp had no idea the Sweep had been reassigned, but was pleased he had joined the fight. Still there was no coverage on the other ground forces the Autobots had as backup. Skywarp had to make a decision fast, Cracker needed his help.

>>Nightraid, Jadewind, break formation and take out Sunstreaker and Sideswipe then resume wing formation. I’m breaking to assist Cracker.<<

Warp opened up his afterburners and sped towards Thundercracker. His plan was to have the warheads follow him as he teleported, and then teleport a second time as the missiles went off into another target…. Hopefully into one of the decimated buildings below. The black and purple seeker streaked between the warheads and his best friend, warp was no hero. He was only doing this because he knew he could get away with it.

Ruins of Polyhex - Near border

As Turbulence pushed the minibot back his sinister smile began to fade again. Thinking the fight decided, and finally assessing his own damage, the cobalt and bronze warrior opted to finish his foe. The confident sword wielding seeker lowered his free hand preparing to deploy is second blade.

"You fight well with your spark Autobot, but your frame will betray..."

Before he could unleash his second serrating sonic sword, or finish his line, Bravo had maneuvered himself beneath the Decepticon while delivering a clean strike to his knee. Turbulence agonizingly fell to one knee as he processed the tide turning events.

"Bravo, Autobot... Bravo." Turbulence said as the smile returned to his face. Thick fluids flowed from his leg, as he posed for a nanosec. The cut was more than superficial, it had compromised his mech modes continued mobility. He knew this was a worthy foe.

Flipping his right blade underhand, Turbulence blindly struck behind his back while deploying his left blade. Forcing his frame up he swung his swords in rotating arcs as he attempted to regain his footing. How long he could continue using his right leg was hard to tell.

"Some times you enjoy the struggle and others the struggle enjoys you."

Shockwaves Tower - Training Room

Reforge was thinking with reports on drone sweeps finalized, he could properly asses the spark filled sweeps performance. Speak of the Sweep...

"Ah, Blackguard. The battle showed promise between the gladiator and the master of Metalikato, but Bludgeon was called away with much of the spectators. It seems Swindle may have made an enemy of the Corrupticons."

Honestly the surgical sweep was still fuming over not looking under the hood of either warrior, but his adjacent repair-lift algorithms were showing through. Surprisingly, they don't often work in the repair bay. The medic looked once over the black armored sweep spotting the repairs preformed.

"I guess the drone repair protocols are in order; the CR Chambers aren't quite as detail oriented beyond our baseline specs yet."

"That's my name, don't wear it out". Bravo picked himself up and went back into a defensive stance, blocking the retaliatory blows from Turbulence. Even without leverage, the blows still had incredible strength behind them, and Bravo could feel the vibrations running up his arms.
"'The struggle enjoys you'? What!? You really think fighting is some kind of game, win or lose?"
Bravo stumbled back, found his footing, and burned his jets.
"I won't let you treat life and death as a game!"
He jumped, seeing a minute oppurtunity in his opponents weakening stance. It's a mighty big gamble, but I have to end this before he beats me to death just from blocking.

Shockwave's Tower - Training Room

"A shame, but then if the fight had gone ahead, I'd be kicking myself for missing it." Blackguard looked at the virtually empty room, and the few remaining stains on the floor, then gestured to Reforge to head for the Hangar. "As for the repair drones, they seem alright. The arm still tingles, but I doubt it's a problem."
"Now, what to busy ourselves with? Training is done, so I would be eager to spread the Shadow of Destruction once again over the planet. But it seems the Seekers have been granted that task. Perhaps there's an Autobot prisoner down in the holding cells. Maybe we could dissect it." Blackguard smiled at this thought: he had no illusions of seeking scietific insight.

Motto: "Feed them to the Sharkticons!"
(OOC: Profuse apologies for the extended delay, FP.)

Shockwave's Tower - Hangar

Several breems after Swindle's arrival at the launch pad, Onslaught appeared with the rest of the Combaticons in tow. It had taken more time than the militant mechanoid had anticipated to round them all up, and as a result his mood had deteriorated somewhat. That ill-humor might have also had something to do with the memory of the endless, barbarous foolishness that had transpired within the training facility, as well.

"What in the name o' Primus' exhaust port are they bouncin' us out to the Heights for?" Brawl muttered angrily as he stomped after his commander--angy muttering, in Brawl's case, being more akin to a screaming tirade from the average Decepticon warrior. "There're still 'Bots to smash in Nova Cronum!"

"Please," sighed Blast-Off, "restrain your belligerent impulses. They do have Autobots in the vicinity of the Tagan Heights, too, you know."

"Yeah, haven't you heard?" added Vortex with a touch of malevolent humor. "The Heights are the new front line. We'll be cavin' in 'Bot chassis again in no time. Not like this slaggin' junkyard."

Brawl's response to the attempt at mollification was predictably stubborn. "I hate leavin' a job half-finished," he insisted. Onslaught glanced over his shoulder, giving the three a long, level look which quickly quieted their bickering and gossip. The Combaticon tank, however, continued his cacophonous impression of a one-mech avalanche. Since being conspicuous was a part of his function, the Combaticon Commander allowed it to pass without comment.

"Swindle," he greeted with a nod, scanning the hangar for the rest of the group assigned to the Heights. "The shuttle is prepped for departure, I trust?" No mention was made of the incident with the Corrupticons in the makeshift arena. Truth be told, Onslaught was pleased that the conniving scrap trader had shown a bit of steel in his struts at last. He'd never let him know it, though. Swindle's performance would be much improved if he believed that his superior's ire was about to descend upon him at any moment.

No worries Longshot. Incidentally, I'd like to point out that the 3 Combaticons, Vortex the torturer, Blastoff the snobbish scout, and Brawl the racket-maker and all up for grabs to play.

Shockwave's Tower - Hangar Bay

Swindle stood up from the loading panel he'd been adjusting, and gave a sharp salute. "She's in perfect order sir, fully fueled and loaded, and ready to fly at your command." If anything, the shuttle was overloaded, with spare fuel and ammunition stored in the side bays: Swindle always felt better about requisitioning surplus supplies when he had orders from highers-up to use as an excuse. Besides, did the Seekers here really need that much fuel?

"With your permission sir, I'll take the pilot position, and we can be in Tagan in less than half a cycle." Technically Blast-Off was the teams pilot, but Swindle knew equipment of all sorts, big and small. And it wasn't like they were expecting any problems, were they?

Thanatos – Bridge

Darkwing and Dreadwind reviewed the information from Shockwave with a mixture of disgust and horror. They were apparently going to a world covered in water and disgusting creatures made mostly of water. The dominant species on the planet, while primitive, seemed to have grown quite adept at slaughtering each other. Their propensity for self-destruction even rivaled that of their own race and their millennia long war.

And now they were all traveling to this planet. They were going to hide among the little psychopaths and try to drive them to their own destruction that much faster. The trick would be not getting caught up in the species’ death or being caught and overwhelmed by the sheer billions of them. The two aerial specialists didn’t need to do more than look at each other to know what the other was thinking. They had gone from the melting pool directly into the incinerator.

Shockwave's Tower - Hangar Bay

Rampage idly watched the combaticons walk in to the hanger back and talk to each other; he really had no idea how he was going to get to the tagan heights himself (even though he had no problem walking providing he wasn't needed there quickly) and was idly wondering whether or not he could hitch a ride. Still he was not too brilliant at communicating with others. Normally he had the other predacons for that; but since he was alone right now he was at a loss for what to do.

Still he stood near the back; head tilted listening in mild curiousity at the teams conversation being deliberately non intrusive. After all it wasn't his place to upset people with far more guns than he had.

As Turbulence pressed Bravo with rotating sword strikes, he set his spark on skewering his foe and a final verbal retort as the minibot stumbled back.

"This game is over!"

But before the seeker's sword could find its mark, his left leg failed him. As Turbulence stumbled he saw Bravo leap. Aided by his jet engines, the minibot was nearly airborne without his flight mode; a prone victim to most seekers.

Turbulence leaped with his good leg and the aid of his thrusters. Using his twin sonic swords, the seeker attempted to scissor Bravo's own blade.

"Retreating Bravo?"

Spinning his frame, the seeker retracted his swords as he transformed from warrior mech to tetrajet. With his left leg leaked dry, ground based combat would be out of the question. Taking his own withdraw skyward the Decepticon had some parting words.

"When next cycle we meet, your spark will be shaken by... Turbulence."

Shockwaves Tower - Training Room

Reforge tried to look dashed for not being able to partake in the seeker's battle. "There is always next patrol."

He wasn't sure if he was convincing to Blackguard but did perk up to his suggestion of prisoner dissection. A smile crossed his features.

"There is always time to... study our enemies. I could show you the fracture points of his core frame. It's no Metalikato, but with our hunter's accuracy I'm sure you could make use of it on similar Autobot refuse."

One task that exceeded the surgical sweep's interest in repairing the aerial elite, both old and new, was perhaps the technical torture of those who were not. As Reforge headed to the brig with the dark paladin sweep, he hoped there were subjects for his group studies.

Bravo tried to adjust for Turbulences change of stance, but it was too late. The Seekers twin blade caught the minibots saber in a lock, and Bravo was spun around by the Seeker. He went flying, trying to catch himself or find his balance, but he was too tired. He bounced and rolled and came to a stop just in front of Bluestreak. He lifted himself up on one arm, and looked at the Seeker as he flew off. Bravo smiled.
"Yeah, I'll look forward to it."

Shockwaves Tower - Hangar

Swindle sat down in the shuttle cockpit, flipped switched and fed power tp the engines. Everything was in top condition, as he'd checked.
"All aboard! I think that means you too Rampage, you can keep Blastoff company if you like. Don't worry, I won't charge!"

Bluestreak watched as his eight warheads climbed higher and higher into the sky. The Autobot gunner then opened a comlink to Scattershot:

<< Scattershot, this is Bluestreak. I’ve got eight warheads heading for Thundercracker. Be careful not to get too close. I wouldn’t want them mistaking your heat signature for ol’ crackerhead! >>

Bluestreak then noticed Skywarp fly past between his warheads and Thundercracker, causing five of his missles to change course and follow the black and purple seeker, while the other three remained on target for the blue seeker. “What the? Skywarp, you piece of slag! Those weren’t meant for you! Although, if you really wanted me to shoot you down, you could’ve just asked!”

Just then, Bluestreak’s optics caught sight of Nightraid and Jadewind flying low and quickly approaching Sunstreaker and Sideswipe’s position. He quickly commed the twins:

<< Sunstreaker! Sideswipe! Look out! Nightraid and Jadewind are heading right for you! >>

Bluestreak attempted to target the two seekers with his launchers, but he was interrupted by Bravo, who had suddenly landed on the ground directly in front of him. Bravo screamed something back at Turbulence, another seeker who was retreating skyward. Bluestreak quickly leaned down and lifted the minibot to his feet. “Bravo, you have impeccable timing,” Blue said sarcastically. “Now, if you don’t mind, I’ve got to help Sunny and Siders before they’re laid to scrap.”

"Nope but fortune favours the foolish!" Strafe replied to Turmoil as he pulls off a few airial manuvers that would probably have the decepticon flyer wish to rip Strafe's wings off; after all Strafe wasn't exactly full of finesse and his airial abilities weren't the best. Still his flying did it's job and he survived with nothing more than a few lazer burns.

Responding to the weapons fire in kind Strafe just hoped that this wouldn't all end in disaster he really didn't want to end up back in the medbay so soon after his last trip there.

Ruins of Polyhex - Near the Border

"Slaggit," Sunstreaker cursed lowly as Nightraid and Jadewind streaked in and unleashed their weapons payloads. "Fantastic. Fabulous."

With a diving leap, the golden Autobot transformed into car mode and accelerated hard, hitting two hundred miles per hour in short order. While he certainly wasn't going to outrun missiles, he could use his formidable speed to make his way to some cover, at least. Tires squealing, he roared onto the rubble-strewn highway and out onto a long span of road bridge. Once in the middle of the bridge, he screeched to a halt. As the missiles closed in, he waited. Timing's got to be good...

With just a second or so before the missiles' imminent impact, Sunstreaker gunned his engine once more and rocketed toward the other end of the bridge. The missiles adjusted course at the last second, but it was too late - almost. They plowed into the bridge, their warheads detonating and cause the massive structure to buckle and crumble into the metallic ravine below. Shrapnel peppered Sunstreaker's heavily armored hide as he shot toward the end of the bridge, ferroconcrete cracking and disappearing into the ravine behind him. As he neared the end, he transformed back into robot mode, letting his momentum carry him forward. Arms outstretched, he grabbed onto the edge of the roadway and hauled himself up.

The blast and resulting heat and shrapnel had inflicted some damage on the heavily armored Autobot, but he was still functional and moving.

The Skies of Polyhex - Over Ruins

As Turbulence Climbed in search of Thundercracker, he witnessed Scattershot evading and Skywarps diverting deed; The blue and Bronze flier attempted to match there actions.

A few bursts of my turrets to take out those three remaining rockets and a cyclone missile to scatter the flybot.

As the notably damaged Decepticon took aim, his maneuvering surfaces stressed to maintain a marginal targeting angle. Although a warrior elite, Turbulence was no expert marksmech, let alone sharp shooter, and his frame was failing him. The sword scarred seeker let off his volley of torque bursts and he hit one rocket while grazing another. Only one of the three rockets stopped.

<<Thundercracker, two Autobot bogies off your left wing, from vector 8.>>

The blue and bronze tetrajet broke from his targeting to climb to safety. He wasn't air worthy enough to manage another clean shot and to stay with in enemy weapons range would only end badly. There was nothing more he could do for the senior seeker.
