Well, consider this, the link you just gave links to my custom Ultra Magnus

I think it looks pretty damn awesome. Classics prime mold works surprisingly well as the armored UM.

Does it really matter if this Magnus was not G1 Accurate? Who cares if it doesn't have armour or a trailer! It's bloody awsome and looks cartoon accurate in ROBOT mode. I would care less if there was a trailer or not! Great job Qwailo!

It does if you're trying to claim it as "G1 style". That is why I brought it up in the first place. It isn't G1 style because it is his Armorde mode appearance without the armor. This leave him with the wrong colored alt mode as well as the wrong robot mode sans armor. Does it look good? yes, it does, and I never said it didn't. However, it is not true G1.

Tramp, why do you hafta be so nitpicky? I understand where ur comin from where the cab won't be "accurate G1" or whatever, but it's HIS kitbash, let the man think about it what he wants to, no need to try and change his opinion about how good or bad it is. Just tell him "good job bro" and move on.

Qwailo, I think its great. I've had my own ideas for a classics UM armor-bash, but your paint job is perfectly acceptable. My only cripe is the face, but it might just be the quality of the photo.

Why? because that is the way I am. If someone claims something that isn't accurate, I'll call them on it. I don't hold back my opinions, and I don't sugar coat anything.

Yeah ... i'll say it's not Ultra Magnus without the armour, but the thread title to me says qwailo is adopting a paint style similar to G1 Ultra Magnus.

I like it I realy do it does look a lot like G1 UM!

OK Tramp, Prime was based of Diaclone Convoy, who came in two versions, one with a normal trailer witch we now know as Optimus Prime, then there was the supermode one witch we now now as Ultra Magnus.
Hasbro decided to let Magnus be a completely new guy and not a repaint of Prime, that's the reason he transformed from bigass- bot to truck with trailer.
If they intended to make him a Prime twin they would have promoted it back then, + you never see the wite Prime on the cataloge do you?

Ok, this has gone far enough for me to even care about your feelings anymore, as you seem completely oblivious to anyone elses so youve forced me into saying this:

Ok then how about this. Your UM isnt G1 accurate either. When in alt mode you did nothing to change the color of the cab section. If i remember correctly UM didnt have the blue swirly lines down the side of his cab.

So, stop acting like you are a Mr. Perfect here, and stop trying to convince everyone that your UM mod is the best in the world because quite frankly, it aint. I am beyodn the point of being afraid to offend you now so i will say this:

Your UM looks like crap when in bot mode, and is inaccurate when in alt mode. This at least looks awesome in bot mode and i am sure it'll look just as cool in alt mode, and why? Because it DOESNT have the trailer/armour that you seem so insistant on telling everyone that UM MUST have in order to look good, which quite frankly, he doesnt.

This is one of the best UM re-paints i have seen and improves upon the original voyager UM. Yours didnt. It looked good, if inaccurate, in alt mode but completely stupid and useless in bot mode.

So stop argueing, stop trying to force your opinions down peoples throat and shut up. You are the only one here moaning about this and its really pathetic when you are surrounded by people who have nothing but praise for his work.

Nice repaint looks good. I would have liked clearer pics so I can see UM in all his glory. Tramp needs to take a midol this morning. Say it with me woosah....woosah.... then take a deep breath and you should feel better. Try it tramp it might work for you.

Ya know what, I'm issuing a challenge for everyone, but mostly for Tramp:

Build a functioning car carrier for classics UM, but there's a catch- it must be able to carry cars no bigger than any scout class vehicle, preferably SPYCHANGER size.

THAT WAY, UM gets his armor, but it can be less bulky, since that seems to be the issue at hand here.

Any takers? While I personally have ideas, I don't have the skill to execute them, but I KNOW some of you guys can, and I hope you are up for the challenge!

SWEET!!! I was hoping someone would take my challenge. The reason I suggest scout class/spychanger sized vehicles is well... they are more to scale with the UM truck cab than say Classics Cliffjumper is...I mean really, how often do you see a Rally Car thats almost as big as a Semi?

I would but i have no idea how to scratchbuild something of the complexity that is still able to transform. Hell my kitbash of classics bumblebee was hard enough, and after all that hard work he still didnt transform.

Its better then any brick or any armor/trailer combination I've seen.

Plus, Talking like this just gets on everyone's nerves. There is no point in randomly putting words in bold face
