Mockup by Jesslyn Belle showing off the IDW styled heads we are working on. These will be non-transforming heads, but comic accurate. Chromedome's head is based on the Shadowplay arc from MTMTE, where he has a similar body design.

While this is a great option for fans. Think renderform should have made these heads transform. Especially considering Renderform knows how to do 3rd party headmasters toys.
Having no headmasters also means the drivers seats are now empty. unless ofcause some buyers plan to fill the seats with the FP Headmasters nebulans, while the robots have that non-transforming head on the body.

I quite agree.
Non-transforming headmaster heads make little sense to me.
100% agree. if youre going to make a head replacement if a headmaster, itd better transform. and be aesthetically pleasing. and fit with the body. ugh... so much fail.Gauntlet101010 wrote:IMO, this is a misfire. The heads look very out of place. I don't usually say stuff like that because classics is already a huge mish mash, but the smooth heads on the angular, detailed bodies throws me off. I also don't like that they don't transform. I know Renderform doesn't do complicated add-ons and these would never fit inside the cockpits, but I still want that to happen.

These new RF heads need to pop on and off during transformation. Then they need to be set aside as their is no place to store the heads in the alt modes.

You're thinking of Head Robots. Renderform has never done a transforming head.

I've never made transforming heads. And if you goto the main Renderform website, there are photos showing the heads fit in alt mode. Not sure why you would assume they didn't fit.
These heads are catered specifically towards a small crowd of MTMTE comic fans. Based on current preorders, sales are doing very well for that crowd.
As for transforming heads, there doesn't seem to be a market for them, thats big enough for a 3rd party to bother with. Since these Function X figures have been out for a while now, I'm sure someone would of announced a full transforming head by now.
