Ah blast it, I actually bought the figure just because of this set and it goes on sale right as I'm walking to work. XD

Well, some good news, and bad news. Bad news first, a lot of the orders were missing emails! So I can't invoice them at all. I have 30 orders that I have yet to check. If they are all for the Red Set, then I will have about 26 Black sets only available. So basically, if you placed an order before I removed the two kits from the order form, you will be able to get to order a set! And for anyone who posted in this thread, before this post, stating they missed out, I will contact you when the time comes, in case I can accommodate you. If any sets are available after, I'll decide the fairest way to to make them available.

Just paid for the red set. Cant wait to get that head on Red.

Please include me in the list of those that would like a red set should some become available - I would love to be able to complete my daughter's Red Alert for her.

I've got a Gear of War launcher and the black head doesn't bother me, but this looks good for the people who really wanted a different head and a rocket launcher.

I haven't received an invoice yet. Venksta, I've sent you a PM with the details of my order in case I left the email off; I hope I'm still able to get a kit.

Might I suggest that the "paypal email" field be moved nearer to the top of the order form page where it's more difficult to miss?

Hi everyone. I still haven't gone through the last 30 orders that were placed. Hopefully by monday. I want to make sure no one misses out on the kit, that I had previously promised to, before Sunday. If you did put your email in your Renderform submitted order, you will get an email, if you made it or not.

As well, if you follow the facebook page, I'm taking suggestions for releasing a second red head sub set. The colors would have to be different, to make sure RF-004R remains unique. One idea would be to give the face yellow eyes, a black gun, and maybe translucent red parts for the shoulder rocket? Feel free to make suggestions. As well, if you missed out, or have ordered a RF-004 kit, please post your opinion about a second red kit being released. As I don't want anyone feeling screwed over.

PM replied. Changing the paypal email field won't help. Some people will just not bother taking time to fill all information out, no matter what way I arrange the field. The original name for that field was just "Email address", then I changed it to "Paypal email" hoping everyone would know it was important to fill out.

Just my $0.02 coming from an impartial source that probably won't order a set either way (I think these are really cool, but a bit too spendy and not quite necessary enough for me personally)...I'd probably be more put off if it were different and I found it better than the one I (hypothetically) already ordered rather than if you just did another run of the same thing. Were they promised as an "exclusive" run?

I'd just buy both.

Not much point in a cartoon accurate head with yellow eyes. The key to making it different is probably the gun.

I'm currently in the "maybe" category, and I'm hoping I was able to place an order, just so you know my perspective.

If you simply misgauged the interest for the product, a second pressing is not a bad thing. That way more people that want the product can get one, and you get to sell more units.

If you keep everything the same, including the price, I would see no harm in that either way.

I would be more than happy to purchase a cartoon-accurate version of the RF-004 set, featuring a red head with yellow eyes, and a red version of the handgun. However, I would have my doubts about a shoulder launcher featuring translucent parts - I think it would make more sense to keep the barrel white, and the missile red, as it is now. (A splash of yellow on the end of the missile might be interesting though).

I will say that if translucency is the desired direction, then perhaps the 'horns' on the head could be molded in a translucent blue plastic? (Simulating their tendency to 'flash' when the character detects an incoming threat.) I think this may be a highly desirable feature for the new set.

Agreed I originally bought the black head so I'd love for the red version to be re-released, especially with a black rifle.

You know what'd be better than yellow eyes? Red circles under his eyes and pink paint on his head light things. To mimick his crazy look.

As an update for more red sets, or a variant. I'm leaning towards releasing something based on the planned Sideswipe upgrade. Looking at my schedule, I wouldn't have time to release a new version of the red head set any time soon anyways. With the Sideswipe upgrade, all the parts are different from the RF-004 set. So there would be no issues releasing parts in cartoon accurate colors with that version.

First of all I want to say that I think you do excellent work and I am dying to own one of your sets.

However, it seems to be very hard to obtain one unless you live on the computer day and night. I do not. I dont work in an office so people buy em all up before I even know they are up for order.

I have also read some of the information on your site that states you want to make each run unique to keep collectors happy in terms of value. Thats where i have to respectfully disagree. I believe if you are in business, customer satisfaction requires sufficent stock of a product. And in your favor, theres some money to be made here on the RF-004 set.

I know some collectors are very greedy and cant seem to get over the "mine all mine" syndrome. Personally, as long as I have a set of my own to enjoy, I could care less if one million other people own one too. Let everyone who wants a cartoon accurate Red Alert be happy. Theres enough plastic in the world to go around, and people got the cash to keep your business thriving as long as you are willing to hook them up.

Give us a 2nd run of identical sets of the RF-004 set in red. (most popular and what I want) Let the test of time be what makes these sets exclusive, rather than a number. Like any other collectable, many will be lost in 5-10 years due to different unfortunate circumstances. Then the people who managed to hold on to it all those years have earned it's value.


Thats just my opinion, and I hope it helps you do whats best to expand your business and make more potential customers. Like I said before, you do excellent work. But it shouldnt have to be a race against the clock to purchace your products. You got my e-mail on your list. Get at me if I can still buy a Red Alert set (in red) or a complete Skyfall set with the black head.

I've mentioned somethings about the limited run numbers, with the collector cards. Besides helping make the sets special, their also a limit, to force me to stop making the particular set. For one person, it can get very tiresome to having to keep casting, cleaning, and assembling the same kit over and over again. As well, with my limited free time, I do have other projects I want to work on. Having to keep making the same set over, and over, stops me from starting something new.

For RF-004, as I mentioned, I had given people a 1 week heads up that the kit would go for sale on my website. And then, there was a two day period, before Seibertron frontpaged the news. In that time, I only had about 5 orders placed. And before the kit was available on my website, I actually had it up for sale on TFW, for about 2 weeks. And only got about 2 or 3 orders, when I placed the listing up in my sales thread there. So depending on where you hang out, in the TF online community, the kit didn't sell out right away. It does appear so, for most people on Seibertron though. And it something I'll work on, to ensure there will be more time to get people aware of when the sale goes live for future items.

For Darkwind, I will give a one week notice, starting with the photos of the final version. And that kit will be sold in batches, so there will be a couple chances to order it. However, even though RF-004 is almost sold out, I'm not going to increase the run numbers for future kits. Especially when the previous two kits didn't sell out yet. Skyfall's kit is still for sale. And the Universe Blaster kits are far from selling out.

But thanks for your opinion, its good to know what others thoughts are. And it helps me to see if I can change some things around, if possible.

I got you bro. I only use Seibertron.com. Never really got into TFW 2005 cause the layout looks weird. But yeah bro by the time I get home from work at 1030 PM to place an order theyre all gone. But I just visited your site and placed an order for the RF-002 – Empyrean Espionage full set. I hope its the black one I ordered so please hook me up. You said the RF-004 is "almost sold out" so I must ask if I still got a shot at ordering the red set ??? If yes, just add it to my invoice with the Skyfall set. If not, I hope you can consider another run for red alert in the future. Maybe not right away, but when you have time to get all the people from Seibertron that missed out.
