Agreed. I think i heard three cuss words total. That's still unnecessary, but it's better than most movies nowadays.

I loved the way they focused on Caesar more than Will. I thought it would be vice-versa.
The 'damn dirty ape' scene was actually a nod to the 2001 version, where one ape said to the main character 'Get your hands off me you damn dirty human!'
I have to say, Caesar was a CGI milestone. My favorite scene was the bridge scene, which also used fantastic CGI.
This is a great setup for a new franchise.

I like DOTM, but my favorite movies of the year are Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Super 8 and Captain America. Those movies had a charm, and certain aspects of the main characters that I just adored, that was missing in DOTM. Closest thing that I could think of as charming characters in DOTM would be Brains and Wheelie! We needed more of that with the Transformers, not just them doing cool things and speaking the obvious. I'd like the next movie to explore just a little bit on what they think of their new home, and how they feel to being in second in command on the planet.

Frankly when Oscar nominations roll around, I want to see Caesar nominated for Best Actor.
I feel sorry for Tom Felton though, spent years playing a douchebag, and his first role out of Harry Potter and he still plays a douchebag.

And it's not just that. The movie was totally predictable. I never saw the originals, so IDK if they have a connection in diologue, but I knew what everyone was going to say before they said it. I knew everything that was going to happen before it happened. At least DOTM had creative diologue. "Raise your hand if you had a psyco ninja copier try to kill you today!" See? Who would have thought of that? I certainly didn't. But in this movie, I knew everything before it happened. That's what made it boring for me. But I did still like it though. It's hard to make me not like a movie.

I thought the only movie you didn't like was WALL-E.

Exactly. That movie teased me. It showed images of robots, and there was only about 1 (small)explosion the entire movie. Even the story was ass. There's no way in hell abandoning earth will be a bad thing! Plus the only time I laughed the entire movie was when all those fat people where rolling down the side of the ship. My family and I feel asleep watching that movie in theaters. I wasted my 13th birthday on that crap. At least that's the day I got Animated Voyager Optimus.

Not a nod to the 2001 version. A nod to the original with Charlton Heston. He spoke these exact words: "Take your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty ape!"
All other movies after it were influenced by the first film. Nothing homages remakes, sequels or reboots, just the original.

Do you go to a movie on every birthday?
