Sea of Change

Earth is a beautiful planet, lush with life, overflowing with energy and ripe for the taking. The Decepticons want to conquer it and harness that energy for their own purposes. The Autobots want to keep it out of Decepticon hands. This forum contains their battles and struggles all across the planet.

Oil Slick gazed at the sea in front of them as Darkride suggested following the Constructicons. While the politicking and plotting of various Decepticons was at best a passing interest to the chemist, but the importance of recent events was forcing him to pay attention. Direct leadership of the group on Earth and even the Decepticons entirely was at stake. While he could hope that he would be allowed to simply continue his work uninterrupted despite whatever leadership changes might occur it wasn’t guaranteed. This time Oil Slick would at least have to observe the politicking and talking to assure that his place in the ranks would be safe.

“Very well,” he replied to Darkride as he began walking towards the water. He made sure to his bubble helmet was sealed. He had not intention of taking in any of the corrosive water, although he would make sure to take a sample of it. Perhaps he could do something interesting with the polluted liquid.

Hook frowned at the other Constructicons discussed their options. Frankly he didn’t like any of them. Serving Starscream certainly held little interest for him. In general he disliked seekers and Starscream was the pinnacle of everything he hated about them. Working for Shockwave had some appeal as he at least was a scientific equal. Unfortunately he was also very thorough. He doubted they could keep Devastator a secret from him for long and he was loath to lose that bargaining chip.

When Hook finally spoke he did so slowly, carefully considering his words. “Should we go it on our own, and it is looking like the best of three undesirable options, then we need to move quickly. I would suggest bringing the bubble down here immediately so we have a semi-hidden and airtight location. Then we begin the modifications for Devastator. We will be very vulnerable until we have him as a weapon. With him at our side then we can dictate how things will go from there.”

Western Shore of the Korean Peninsula

Swindle materialised with a cautious stance, not wanting to be antagonistic (that was Brawls job), but still made sure to sweep the are as quickly as possible. He didn't vocalise any relief when things seemed safe, since as things were escalating among the Decepticons, appearances couldn't be trusted at first glance anymore.

Onslaughts orders came loud and clear. "On it boss!!" Swindle transformed and drove off, scanning for mines, underground sensors, or any other worrying signs, but apparently the Constructicons hadn't begun setting traps just yet. Swindle was about to start looking for places to put weapon emplacements (getting them would be a side job), when he picked up two Decepticon signals. Climbing the embankment, he spotted Darkride and Oil Slick, seemingly on a project of their own.

"Good evening, Gentlemechs. You wouldn't have happened to see any Constructicons around here, would you?"

Bottom of the Yellow Sea

Scrapper watched as each of his teammates came to the same conclusion he had: The only way the Constructicons could truly come out on top of this power struggle was to go it alone. Despite himself, a smile grew on his face behind his mouthplate.

"Then its unanimous. We begin immediately. Mixmaster and I have the polymer, we should have enough for the basic dome, Long Haul has the metal and you all should be able to shape it well enough. We create a type 3A geodesic, width 311 quasidecs, and then pump the water out. We'll have to go back for equipment, but I want to get as much done before showing ourselves as we can. We don't know who might be scanning us from orbit and the water is our only shield."

He immedately begins arranging the polymer sheets on the prepared base. "Lets show them what the Constructicons can really do!"

Vortex materialized next to Onslaught moments after appearing on the Ultrax. The events were moving swiftly enough that had managed to catch him slightly off guard. Still he knew the plans and given the pace of which they were moving, he decided they had been accelerated. His fists curled at his hips before he turned to face his commanding officer. He then looked out at the vast expanse of the sea.

"Why is it we always get saddled with the jobs of baby sitting engineers who deem it necessary to build under water? Another one of Starscream's glorious ideas perhaps." Vortex shrugged his shoulders before releasing fists and unleashing a defeated sigh at the orders that were being issued.

"Very well. Lets get this over with."

Onslaught knew that he and Brawl would be having a longer conversation later about the quickness of their battle, but he was satisfied to see that that the Combaticon wasn't allowing the brevity to affect his current functioning.

"Good find," Onslaught said, acknowledging Brawl's initial report and taking a step closer to the shoreline. Swindle, Onslaught knew, would do what Swindle did best and Vortex made his presence known shortly after Brawl had.

"We're not saddled with anything except the opportunity to maintain the Decepticon empire and shape its future, Vortex. All of that opportunity will do us little good if either Shockwave or Starscream gets a wild hair and decides to eliminate us while we're still exposed like cyberfoxes in a clearing."

Onslaught let out a sigh. Brawl's lead was as good as he had access to right now, so it meant following it, even if it would put him in an even more strategically vulnerable situation than he already found himself.

"I'm going to head to those caves, see what I find. The rest of you continue as you were. Someone check in with Blast-Off."

Turning, Onslaught began to trek off in to the water. After a few large steps, the Cybertronian was soon completely submerged.

"Unanimous, heheheh. Nice," Mixmaster said, rubbing his hands together, satisfied that he and his unit brothers had come to a conclusion quickly on how to proceed. Such an occurrence was rare among the Decepticon ranks, but not so much with the Constructicons. It was probably as much a reason as any why Mixmaster had stayed so loyal to the group for so many vorns.

Thundercracker froze in midst ride when he received the broad communication from Shockwave. He couldn’t be serious… was he. Thundercracker shook his head, that was something he expected from Starscream, not Shockwave. More in surprise than shock, he continued about his regular task but his mind was focused more on what such an action meant for the Decepticons as a whole.

Civil War. It was the only result he could see barring a quick victory for either Shockwave or Starscream. This never would’ve happened had Megatron still been with them. Megatron. The one mech he would follow to the Pit and back was missing, presumed deactivated. That meant there was only a limited amount of time before…

>>"Thundercracker, I am sure you have heard the same message we did that came in from Shockwave. I am going to remain here for the time being to monitor the Constructicons. I believe the time to pick sides has been force and soon we all will have to decide who we will support for leadership. For the moment I am favoring Starscream, logically I believe you do as well, but I cannot confirm that. I think it may be best if you met me here so we can discuss how to collaberate incase we have to move against the Constructicons.<<

“Scrap.” He muttered to himself at Baneblade’s communication. Which side indeed. Go with Shockwave and face a great many of the seekers or side with his brothers under Starscream. Was there really a choice? If Baneblade thought he’d fire of his fellow Decepticons then he needed his processor wiped.

Sighing he made the only choice he could, for now.

>>Baneblade, this is Thudnercracker. My allegience is to the leader of the Decepticons. Despite what Shockwave claims that’s Starscream. Send me your coordinates.<<

"I've got clear Decepticon signals in the area," Astrotrain said, informing the other Decepticons aboard his shuttle mode as he began to rapidly descend toward the western Korean shore.

"This ain't going to be the smoothest landing ever. I'd grab something."

The gray and purple Decepticon shuttle craft deactivated its forward thrusters entirely as it came down in the closest thing that Astrotrain could call "open space". Dense flora quickly gave way to muddy beach terrain as the shuttle rumbled to a stop and Astrotrain opened his bay doors.

"Thanks for flying 'Air Decepticon'. Don't come back."

Ever since Blitzwing had confronted Baneblade, the two Decepticons had just stared each other without either speaking to the other. However when Ramplate voiced his corcerns, Blitzwing couldn't keep his vocalizer shut.

"I bet Baneblade's aft that Shockwave doesn't know nearly enough of current state of the Decepticons." Blitzwing spat out, still glaring at Baneblade. "But you never know with that walking computer. Maybe he knows something we don't. Maybe he sees this as his only opportunity to gain upper hand. He does have the slaggin' battlecruiser with enough firepower to glass this planet though. Forget about working until we make sure we can trust the Scrapper and his boys though."

When Astrotrain finally landed, the triplechanger commando was the first to jump out of the military transport. Having been outside of Astrotrain for no longer than a klik, Blitzwing sent out a transmission to the rest of the team he had been operating with as of late.

Just as Darkride stepped around the equipment to begin his trek toward the waterline Swindle caught his attention. The grating sound of the Combaticon’s vocals caused the interrogator to cringe slightly, but he still held that all too familiar air of calm. The purple mech turned on his heel and faced the munitions expert, a broad smile plastered on his faceplate.

“Ahh, Swindle, how…nice to see you.”

The inquisitor paused a moment and pondered Swindle’s query.

“Our resident construction experts have delved into the deep blue in order to commence with the construction of our new headquarters.”

His smile broadened as he stepped in closer to the desert sand colored mech.

"But you’re not here just for the Constructicons, are you? No, I think not. You’ve a proposition to pitch and if I get in on the ground floor I’m sure to double my profits. Sound about right, my good sir?”

As he descended deeper and trekked onward, Onslaught could already begin to feel the telltale effects of the native, oxy-carbon liquid as it found its way in to every imaginable crevice. He was pleased that the need for a navy back on Cybertron had been minimal, otherwise he could have easily been formatted in to one of those. What a miserable lot that would have put him in, at least until Megatron came along and helped the planet break free of its caste-system shackles.

The longer he was down here, the more resolved he became to assist the Constructicons in whatever way possible, if for no other reason than to have a refuge from this planet's salty oceans. Granted, there were much more important reasons for him to assist Scrapper and his team, but that was as good a start as any.

Closing in on the area that Brawl had managed to locate, Onslaught's optics focused in on the distinctive green hue of Scrapper's unit. They were a fine group of engineers--the best, even--but experts at camouflage they were not. But nor would they need to be, with allies like the Combaticons and the Predacons.

The group seemed to be in the midst of dispersing to take care of some new tasks even as Onslaught approached. The Combaticon's march was headed directly toward Scrapper.

"I see you and your team are still up to what you do best," Onslaught began, taking in the construction site and the effort that had gone in to it already. "We need to talk...about a lot...and quickly."

Western Shore of the Korean Peninsula

Swindle transformed to flash his winning smile at Darkride. He didn't know this mech well, and he couldn't tell whether the long-winded speech was due to actual intelligence, or just trying to sound intelligent like Swindle suspected. "Hey now, we all need to perform our functions, it just so happens that mine is generating win-win situations. We're living in complicated times, Darkride, with the big 'Con gone. We need to stick together, figure out what's the next move. A bot on their own might not be in the best situation."

The munitions specialist glanced to the side as Astrotrain flew overhead to land nearby. "This place is going to get mighty busy soon, 'Cons from all over will be coming here. People need to be standing with someone else, being on your owns a liability. And really, you gotta think of your options."

Swindle didn't want to give his full sales pitch just yet. Better to gauge the unknown mech and see where his loyalties lay, before risking saying anything too forward.

Bottom of the Yellow Sea

Scrapper looked up from the completed quadrant of the dome at the arriving Onslaught. There was no way to hide his frown at being interrupted so soon, but it was by one of the more professional soldier of the Empire, at least. Still, not as he had planned.

He looked over at his teammates as they worked. "Keep it up." Then to the Combaticon commander. "Yes, quickly would be right. So much has happened lately, and my team and I are trying to complete the tasks Megatron gave us before his dissappearance. But this will prove difficult if theres any interference, and interference is quite likely, judging from all the messages being bounced around."

He locked optics with his counterpart. "I assume you're here to offer some way out of that?"

Bonecrusher nodded in agreement to Hook, though Bonecrusher wasn't the one to listen to reason avidly, he did agree with what Hook stated.

I can't wait. Bonecrusher thought, smile encroaching on his faceplate, though it was covered by his face shield.

Popping his fingers, he moved back to the work area and began to lift boulders and whatnot that covered the area. It ultimately needed to be removed. All of it. In order to make a perfect structure, things had to be moved.

He noticed Onslaught had arrived and began speaking to Scrapper. There was something about the manner of their speaking that gave him a bad vibe off the whole situation.

Were they going to go it alone or were the Combaticons going to join them? They were, after all, war criminals at one point. Judging from past experiences, mechs don't change that easily.

>>Scavenger, whatdja think about those Combaticons... Looks like - *URK* - Scrapper is talking to Onslaught about something important... Maybe Onslaught is considering going it alone as well?<< Bonecrusher said while lifting a large boulder and throwing it off to the side.

He couldn't be too sure about what they were talking about, but it wouldn't surprise him that Onslaught would abandon his position in the Decepticons for "Tactical Advantage".

Hook began assisting Scrapper with the polymer sheets. As always he would leave the inelegant, simple grunt work to the other Constructicons. This meant that he was next to their leader when Onslaught approached them. He wasn’t particularly happy to see the Combaticon, but he wasn’t the worst Decepticon to have come down to meet them. He was a professional at least and possessing some intellect, which put him ahead of more then a few other Decepticons. He listened in as he and Scrapper began to talk.

Oil Slick paused alongside Darkride as Swindle approached him. He knew the other Decepticon by reputation mostly, although some of his dealings had likely had some entanglements with him in the past. The Combaticon was an interesting one, concerned with profit and deal making over violent conquests. It was possible that they could strike up a working relationship of some sort as their interests varied from those of most Decepticons. Of course each side would maneuver to get more from the other, and if half of what he had heard about Swindle was true then he would have to tread carefully.

“What options do you have to offer us Swindle?”

"If it's happening, you can bet the calculator has figured out a way to keep an eye on it," Astrotrain added, agreeing with Blitzwing's initial sentiment. "But before we go digging in to slag that's above our pay grade...I need a break."

The triple-changer walked over to one of the grassy outcroppings that gave way to the beach and sat down, taking a moment to think about the situation that was now in front of them. They couldn't just go jumping aboard the first ship that looked good. Siding with the losing team, so to speak, would only cost them all a higher price than Astrotrain had any interest in paying. As Blitzwing pointed out the presence of Combaticons, Astrotrain nodded absently, noticing that they weren't alone either.

"Looks like we're definitely in the right place."

Darkride nodded as Swindle laid out his interpretation of just what he felt was happening within the Decepticon war machine. The interrogator’s head tilted slightly, his interest piqued as the munitions specialist mentioned that they had to perform their function. As an experienced interrogator, Darkride was always performing his function. His senses and instincts were always kept wide open in order to find even the slighted hint of information that he could utilize.

The Combaticon seemed to know something more than he was letting on. Carefully gauging Swindle and his intentions, Darkride stepped even closer to him. The interrogator had no problem invading any mech’s personal space, it often caused them to grow nervous and slip up. Always good for him.

“I assume you have a suggestion as to whom we should stand by.”

Darkride lowered his vocalizer as he spoke to the, slightly, taller mech. His voice was silky and calming, as though he were addressing one of his frightened guests.

“Whoever provides me with an unending supply of bodies to break, that is who I will follow.”

Darkride remained in place, his deep crimson optics locked on to Swindle’s purple ones as he heard Oil Slick, from behind him ask about what options Swindle had to offer.

“Yes. I would love to hear what you have to say, Swindle.”

With a broad, disturbing, smile, the interrogator placed his arm around the munitions expert’s shoulder and started to guide him closer to where Oil Slick was waiting.

Vortex remained in quiet contemplation as he stood on the shoreline watching the hydrogen oxygen fluid crash upon the nearby rocks. His fists clinching basic tools for the menial tasks of installing automated defenses within the cliff face or in other hidden areas of the perimeter. Every now and then his fist trembled in agitation as a wisp of sea spray caressed his face plate.

His internal sensors clacked off a silent alarm causing him to briefly tilt his head upwards towards the sky. His optics narrowed briefly as he picked up the two approaching signals and immediately patched them into his combat computer. Vortex opened a link to the other two Combaticons on the surface.

"Swindle, Brawl. It does appear we have a few multiple form entities in route to our position. Don't appear to be Autobots, but even still. Given recent circumstances, it is difficult to tell who is with us or willing to drive an energon dagger into our fuel pumps."

Blitzwing had been pacing restlessly some distance away from Astrotrain as he waited for his fellow triplechanger to take his break. The belligerent commando had never been able to appreciate staying still for too long - particularly in such of an uncertain situation where they had found themselves in. Neither Baneblade or Ramplate seemed to be interested in communicating with the duo of triplechangers for the time being either. It was making Blitzwing even more irritable. At this speed, he would explode soon.

When Astrotrain finally decided to speak up, Blitzwing was quick to deliver a line of his own, "You think so? Well, let's fraggin' do something then before I run out of what little patience I have left!"

Mixmaster kept his focus on carrying out Scrapper's orders as best he could, but the arrival of the Combaticon was an obvious distraction. He wasn't sure how to take it, but he didn't really have to worry about that anyway. That's what Scrapper was for.

He had to wonder, though, if Onslaught was here to aide them, or arrest them. Or maybe something else? Too many things were topsy-turvy right now in the 'Con ranks. Mixmaster checked his weapon energy levels as subtly as he could manage while continuing about his work.

He wanted to be ready for anything.
___

"Possibly," Onslaught began quietly, considering how best to proceed.

"I'm not sure what you have considered for your team. Since I received word of what had happened here during my mission back on Cybertron, I've been at something of a loss for what to do. Almost instantly, the political wheels began to turn, and I could see Megatron's various lieutenants begin to jockey to take his place. Which is exactly what they're doing now, and likely will continue to do."

Onslaught crossed his arms, still deeply in thought.

"What occurred to me, however--and I quickly came to realize that Razorclaw realized this as well--was how much for granted those same lieutenants take our specialty units. Individuals like ourselves lead some of the most prestigious units in the Decepticon empire. For Starscream...Shockwave...any of them to take our loyalty towards Megatron as automatic obedience to his successor is...I suppose 'naive' is most apropos.

"Now, while Razorclaw and I did not come to a final conclusion as to how best to proceed, one thing we were certain of was making sure that our units did not simply become puppets of the next would-be dictator. If needs be, we could stabilize this period of crisis in our ranks and lead the way forward. Whatever our decision, it is one that we would prefer you and your unit were also a key part of."

Astrotrain pushed himself off the stony edge of the rock face and proceeded to stretch out the remainder of his joints. It felt good. Not as good as an energon fill-up, but it was something.

"Do what? I'm not seeing a whole lot around here that caters to our specific skill set just yet," Astrotrain said, rubbing his metallic chin. "I wonder, though, if there's a railyard somewhere nearby. There'd have to be, right?"

Western Shore of the Korean Peninsula

It took a bit of effort for Swindle not to shiver when Darkride locked optics with him, and not to squirm when the interrogator put his arm round him. As an oily mech himself, he was used to these gestures of false camradaerie, and as for the desire to 'break bodies', well, millenia hanging out with Vortex had gotten Swindle used to such desires. Well, not entirely, but enough that he could feign acceptance.

Speaking of whom, Vortex relayed a message to him and the other Combaticons, saying that more mechs were on the way. Whether he meant Astrotrain or another new group, it was obvious things were starting to heat up around here.

So the munitions specialist looked over at Oilslick, in order to address him and Darkride. "What I'm offering, gentlemechs, is simple solidarity. We all know that things are getting complicated with Megatron being dead, and now the big bots are getting hot and bothered over who'll be in charge next. Us little bots have to wonder if we're getting the right mech for the job, but we can't do anything about that in ones and twos. It's only if we get on the same page that we'll have enough clout to make sure the right candidate takes the throne, and does right by the Decepticons as a whole. Thats all I'm suggesting. You do want to have the right guy in charge, don't you?"

Bottom of the Yellow Sea

As much as Scrapper tried to listen to Onslaught impassively and impartially, he couldn't help but relate to the Combaticons arguments. The lack of apprecation for the incredible work his team, and the other Special Teams, did, was half their reason for deciding on independence. And the desire to shape events....It was the other half. Amazing as it sounded, Onslaught was speaking the exact same language Scrapper had been speaking to his own team a breem before. The idea that Razorclaw also supported them lend him further credence.

Its almost too good to be true, like it were some kind of trap. I don't see how or why any of the factions would have conspired to trick us so quickly however. Can't let paranoia cripple me, but can't be fully trusting either.

"I've certainly had similar thoughts, Onslaught. I don't ask for praise for my work, its simply my duty, but lately it seems even my duty is being spit on by the efforts of these would-be successors. If Megatron is gone, then I don't think a single Decepticon in this system can truly succeed him, as they are now. I almost wonder if any mech could, unless we were to build one ourselves."

"So yes, my team and I want to shape the future of the Decepticons, to ensure that Megatrons will and ambition, the one that put us where we are today, is the paramount objective, and that we don't squander everything he created for petty concerns of power or glory. We will be part of it."

"But that leads to the question of the next step. This base could be vital to us if completed, but it might also lead everyone here. Should we remain and finish, or do you have an alternate location?"

((OOC-Gonna make up for some unnecessarily lost time since I had accidentally overlooked that earlier Scrapper post.))

Bottom of the Yellow Sea

Scrapper seemed to be cautiously receptive to Onslaught's words. That was good. No one could afford to be too trusting of anyone in the Decepticon ranks. Especially during a time like this. Ultimately it was why Onslaught's respect for both Razorclaw and Scrapper was increasing with every cycle that passed. They were both showing exactly why Onslaught knew that they were the best minds to guide the empire forward.

"On that, we are in almost complete agreement," Onslaught began in response to Scrapper's assertion of no one Decepticon seeming adequate to succeed Megatron. His next statement was something of a throwaway comment, but Onslaught took note of it. Build one themselves? An intriguing concept. One that he would want to hear more about, once all of the unit leaders were able to speak to one another.

"I'm glad to hear it," Onslaught said in regards to Scrapper's initial agreement. The Combaticon Commander could not help but wonder if Motormaster's audios were as receptive as Scrapper's. It was highly unlikely, but he could hope. "As we speak, Razorclaw is somewhere having a similar conversation to the one we just had--only with Motormaster. If we come together, there will be no one mech with the power to use our specialized talents unless we allow it. We can preserve Megatron's progress at the very least. But I'm confidant that we can go even further. Much further than we would under either Starscream or Shockwave's heel, that's for certain."

Onslaught stepped away for a moment, looking around the area.

"We definitely need a suitable base of operations. My unit's ship--as well as that of the Stunticons and the Predacons--are all in orbit over this world now. Shockwave is currently holed up on the Thanatos, but we can address that later. I believe Starscream was on the Ultrax, though I'm not sure. Starscream obviously would know where this base is, since he had assumed de facto control of this fleet until the rest of us arrived...and I'm sure it won't be long before he comes here to assert his command over you--over us all--just as Shockwave has attempted to do. That makes this location highly vulnerable, until it's completed and defenses are established."

Onslaught continued to walk around, surveying the terrain.

"I think you've made too much progress. Unless the work you've done thus far is exceptionally mobile, we may be better off defending this position. But I'm inclined to go with whatever you think is best, Scrapper."

Ramplate let his feet sink into the turf grudgingly. Wasn't the worst he'd been in, but Earth was among the top of his list of 'Worst Slagging Places to Exist'. The sooner they got back to Cybertron the better. As Astrotrain and the others took their break, the silverish mech looked over the ocean again, wondering if he'd be able to stomach coming to and from this place often. 'We don't get to choose our homes, they choose us...' The quote came to mind grudgingly, in a way that left a bitter tang on Ramplate's chemo-receptors. It reminded him FAR too much of his origins.

When the two triplechangers started to argue and debate their next step, he felt compelled to speak up. "I'm with Blitzwing on this, if we're not going to be getting those materials, we can at least check to see if our 'uninvited guests' are friendly or not? I don't like the idea of strange mechs just dropping in when we don't know who's on board with whom, you know? I'd like to assume they're on our side, but..." he trailed off, leaving the obvious and unsightly unspoken.

"I don't know! Something!" Blitzwing shouted at Astrotrain. Their current predicament was clearly getting on his nerves. Then again, the triplechanger commando did have notoriously short fuse. Sitting idle in the enemy territory was not among his ideas for good past time.

"And why the slag should we care about a railyard?" He added, rolling his eyes.

Before Blitzwing's temper got him into yet another fight with his friend, Ramplate interrupted the two triplechangers.

"Yeah. You've gotta a point there." Blitzwing said, turning his gaze back towards where he had spotted Vortex and Brawl earlier. "Get your lazy aft. off that rock A-train. Time we went to have a word with those glitches."

"Oh, I don't know. I might be able to put one to good use," the triple-changer fired back half-sarcastically at Blitzwing for his dismissive response to Astrotrain's railyard query. He knew that it was mostly just his fellow triple-changer's standard level of irritability however, so he didn't think much of it.

Astrotrain looked at Ramplate and then at Blitzwing, still weighing the options in front of him. There weren't all that many to pick from.

"Eh...I guess this will count as something until we can think of better uses for our time."

Astrotrain proceeded to meander off in the direction of the newly-arrived Combaticons, though there was no real urgency in his step. His right actuator still subtly reached for his rifle as he walked, just in case things weren't as low-key as they seemed right now.

"Well, well...Combaticons. And where exactly have you guys been while we're here on the front lines?" Astrotrain said as he got more closely within suitable audio range of the other Decepticons.

Darkride had taken note that the little Combaticon weasel was trying his best not to squirm in the interrogator’s presence…he was failing miserably. Darkride simply decided to make the mech even more uncomfortable by stepping in even closer to Swindle. He tightened him grip around the munitions expert’s shoulder and began to guide him closer toward where Oil Slick was standing. After all, he didn’t want to have all the fun.

“That is certainly something to consider, my friend. I’m sure you wouldn’t come to us with just a speech, however, now would you.”

It wasn’t a question; in fact it was a statement that he already knew Swindle understood.

“Now, with the arrival of you and your little teammates to our…humble surroundings makes me wonder just what’s going on. But now, now I understand.”

Darkride moved his arm from the mech’s shoulder and placed his elbow just behind Swindle’s neck. The interrogator flashed the Combaticon a toothy grin as he began to tighten his arm around the back of Swindle’s neck.

“Swindle, why don’t you let us know just what you and and the rest of your Combaticon dregs are doing here, hm?”

Bonecrusher frowned at the sight of more rocks. So small, insignificant and imperfect! Oh, how he loathed the imperfect! It is like a disease that must be culled out from the crops and let the good grow. So poetic, so little time to think about it.

It was then when he heard the signal from Scavenger, needless to say he agreed, but to an extent. The Combaticons would not join them, Bonecrusher figured, as "Going it alone" literally meant "Going it alone".

>>Relax! I'm sure they'll be doing their own thing. Either way, we won't be joinin' them! Haha!<< Bonecrusher radioed back to Scavenger, he wasn't smart, but he wasn't just plain dumb.
