So I hit target early today to grab a leader brawl, and this fcking little brat with his mom was there and he was asking her for an optimus/megatron/brawl and his mom said no you don't need something so extravagant and she told him he could get a deluxe bonecrusher.

So he walks over to the tf section where I'm searching through all these stupid prime voice changers cos there were some leaders behind it. Lo and behold I find one leader brawl and I pulled it out of the depths. Then this kid comes over and demands that I give it to him. I said I'd be happy to, but I believe you don't have the money.

The kid hit the roof. He screamed ,WHY, WHY DOES HE GET TO HAVE IT. he was throwing things on the ground, and people were staring at him, and his idiot mom does nothing but stand there like an idiot. Seriously if I had ever done that, my parents woulda smacked me.

So he throws this rock hard pikachu right at my shin, and it hits and I felt like a crack or something. So I call him a little sh!t, and THEN his stupid mom pips up and starts defending her stupid son.


Really, it just pisses me off how some people think their child is so innocent and can't do anything wrong, when they're actually worthless pieces of sh!t being a burden on society.

It's not just you, this seems to be a phenomenon common throughout the world. Where I am in Singapore I see this crap happening all the time. Kids running around, screaming, knocking people, and their parents doing not one damn thing. Some of them actually have this idiot beam on their faces as if they were so proud of their children; they're so cute!

There is no discipline at all, and no sense of social decency. Then you get violent and they have the bollocks to defend their children, making believe like you were some kind of monster for scolding their kid, something they should have done so themselves!

I've often wondered if I had a kid on those rollershoes barellling towards me, and if I were to shove him into a shelf in order to prevent him damaging my torn knee, would I be seen as criminal? Maybe these same parents would think it would have been my civic responsibility to just stand there as an absorption cushion for their freaking kid.

I **** hate kids these days! Kids are wrapped up in cotton wool these days, and noone is allowed to say anything or disipline them or anything.

When I was wee, If I messed up I got my arse skelped for it, and do you know what? I quickly realised good from bad.

When I was a kid I was allowed to do pretty much anything I wanted, just as long as I didn't do anything stupid. Now I was never one to freak out like I see kids do today, but neither did many of the kids I knew back then. The only kids I remember acting like that had serious social problems and the like. Whenever kid acted up my age we got in trouble and big time, and we learned what was right and what was wrong.

I don't know what is with the newest generation of parents, but most of them seem content to just let their kids run wild.

I agree with you totally because its all to true. I'm walking down the isle at Walmart and I see two kids playig catch with a spider man basketball. All of a sudden I get smacked on the side of the head then I hear them laughing. yep people are too soft with kids nowadays. BTW this IS a parent talking. Too many people are sensitive so you can't spank your child. I'm not talking about red mark spanking but the kind that lets them know the adult is serious.

Too many parents threaten and never follow through. Its not even spanking. They threaten time out, threaten to take this or that away but never follow through or make it long enough. Kids know they can wait it out and get it back. Think about it when you were a kid. You have to really dig deep, you did everything you could to get out of trouble. Not avoid it, but get out of it.

Parents are too soft, I sudder to think what that generation will be like when its older.

I remember trying to beg for toys when I was little and trying the tantrum deal.

My parents were good about making me stop though. Because if I did not, they threatened to embarrass me by dropping my drawers and spanking my ass in front of everyone.

The pain of the spanking never really registered as a threat, but having something so embarrassing happen is what really got to me.

However, my parents were still nice though. If I wanted an expensive toy, they would compromise with a cheaper toy, just like this mom. They just stuck to their guns a lot better, and I appreciate the way I turned out because of it. (In other words, I love my mommy)

the problem is there are far too many people breeding.

You see these mothers and fathers in department stores, they have a kid hanging off every arm! Why not have one and really concentrate on raising him/her. When I see some ridiculous mother with 4-5 kids all around the same age screaming and yelling, I wonder "was this your plan?"

They pop out a small army all within five years, they cant control them so they give up and then they inflict this unruly gang on society.

There should be an IQ test that couples have to take before breeding, there are FAR TOO MANY people walking around in this world, and too many of them swam in from the shallow end of a gene pool.

Then as I pulled it out, this kid comes along andsnatches t from me, saing he'll get it cos his mom comes in five minits and that I had a bad luck.

Well lets just say that PM Prime is happy on my shelf, and that kid knows not to MESS WITH DEAD METAL! (especialy wen the later serced for that toy all his live)

You speak the truth saheeb. My wife and I go round and round about this with our 4 year old. I'm the disciplinarian and she's the softy. Sometimes I feel like she on-does what I'm trying to do, the way my father disciplined me.

But, there's no doubt, parents should be more firm. I don't put up with any jive, for sure. I'm the bad cop.

When I was a kid I through a store tantrum once and only once. My Mom proceeded to grab me by the back of the neck, pinch hard and then led me with the grip still in place out to the car where I sat for the next 20 minutes while she finished shopping. No words, no smacks, just quick efficient pain and punishment. Though I'm fairly sure if I'd been a stupid kid and pushed it I wouldn't have been able to sit down for a week.

Now a days though if a parent even looks at their kid wrong in public people go berserk and end up calling child services. Which seems to leave alot of parents in some kind of paranoid state where they won't discipline their kids from fear of getting accused of child abuse. The number of kids I see in stores and such that act like you described jsut seems to get worse every year.

To many people out there want to tell people how to parent their kids rather then just letting them. I got spanked when I was small, I got yelled at, sent to my room, had things taken from me, and all that stuff but I always deserved it. Even after all that I came out fine, and now that I'm all grown up (toy collecting aside) I'm good friends with both my mom and dad.

I think that politicians and the PC police need to back off and only step in when some sort of serious abuse is going on. IF a kid gets spanked big deal, he or she will probably learn to behave after that.

This is basically what my text books say. The kids that suffer the most issues as a result of parenting style are the ones that are neglected, which probably isn't suprising. Later in life, they cannot deal with life's demands for the most part which most may take for granted. Authoritative parenting is viewed to be the best form, credited for creating more emotionally integrated and successful adults.

1. Walk there kids 2 the toy sections of the store and tell their kids they not gettin nuthin but just look and that drive the kids crazy and snottin cause they start pickin stuff up and then have 2 put it down cause their folk said no so their toys everywhere except where they suppose 2 be


2. When they use the toy section 2 babysit their kids while they shop thoughout the rest of the store.....so now u got kids runnin wild and pickin up everything they see and start playin with them in the asle

I'm sick of children thinking they are the most important thing in the world.

I did see some good kids the other day at TRU though.
They asked if they could have MP Prime, and when their mom said no; too much, they asked instead whether they could have Movie leader Prime.

Those good kids left that day with leader Prime and went straight to pizza hut. It just shows that it's in everyone's best interest to behave and be cooperative.

I think a lot of it has to do with being overwhelmed. I know that my folks planned my conception and my parenting, went all out to provide the above mentioned authoritative system, there was a dialogue and a genuine interest on their part in my opinion. It helped to make me feel involved, responsibility and discipline meant I had control of my young life. I was never spanked either, it isnt neccessary.

When my brother came along though, I think my parents were exhausted, the took a more passive approach, giving in to whatever he wanted just to keep him quiet. He wasnt planned and my parents just seemed to give up. Now 21, he is almost intolerable, he is incredibly lazy with an excuse for everything. He isnt respectful because he never experienced any consequences for his actions. The only one he speaks to with respect is me, and that is only out of fear of an ass kicking.

two kids from the same parents with two systems implemented, one worked and one has produced a very unlikable individual.

Seeing a young parent with 3-5 kids bouncing off the walls, I cant imagine them with any system at all. People dont take getting pregnant seriously enough. You are trading a night of pleasure for a lifetime of bondage, people dont seem to internalize this, they just assume they will figure it out as it comes.
