Hmm, his Tweet refers to the toy as "Optimus Express" instead of "Optimus EX Prime".Manterax Prime wrote:New pic, once again found on TFW. This time it's from twitter. https://twitter.com/trafes20120505/status/391781020237692928/photo/1

The "Convoy" name is obsolete. He's "Optimus Prime" (Oputimasu Puraimu) as of 2007.OptimalOptimus2 wrote:I can imagine a repaint for this toy into Nemesis Prime. Though his name might Dark Convoy. It's just like the Japanese Beast Wars has came back!

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

I did forget to mention that MP and Encore are the sole exceptions.fenrir72 wrote:In others words, Saberblade is right Emerje. Unless you want to refer to MP or Encore or any pre 2007 Optimus Primes/Convoy, he is now and forever Optimus Prime.

Also, the Katakana for this toy's name suggested that it should be spelled as "Optimus X Prime" since エクス ("Ekusu") can be used for the American pronunciation of the English letter X ("eks"), whereas "EX" might confuse one into thinking it reads as "ee eks" instead.
Or maybe as "Optimus Exprime" as a portmanteau pun on "Express" and "Prime".

What kind of reasoning is that? Anyone with sense would rather have posability over a brick! You'd rather have a brick?
